the reason there is so much speculation is the fact that no-one ever comes out with the truth, only the odd statement that neither confirms or denies the rumours
the long winded post by Iriez on x-s last year showed the truth behind the foundmy scam, with c4eva firmly at the helm.
is it any wonder there are rumours now about LT costing money?
who do you think is giving out these 'demo's' to the resellers?
its obvious to me that some1 within the inner circle of team hyperx/jungle/whatever the f*** they are called now is trying to make money out of this
is it c4eva? no1 knows but for sure the only way to stop it is for him to open his mouth.
my respect goes to Geremia, he is the only one willing to put his neck on the block and do something to keep the essence of the scene alive ie freedom.
people fame him for releasing other peoples work as his own, when in reality he is completely frank in what he is doing, trying to scupper the scumbags out to make a profit from what should be a free thing.
Yes, c4e is the ONLY person making ANY decisions behind firmware, and whether or not it is free or to be charged for. This is, point and fact, a ONE MAN ARMY.
As for 'Team Jungle', I wrote the memoir for that very reason...*because it does not exist any more*. The people that were behind the last 'official' Team Jungle release are *no longer* involved in the project. c4e is just using the name as a mascott to hide behind, an attempt to make it appear that there are multiple people involved in the development.
There are NOT multiple people involved in development, only testing. I am almost 100% positive that there is only ONE member who was a prior TJ member that is involved in the *testing* phase of the project, and he's one of the few people left that I have any respect for. Ironic, considering that I gave him the boot from the group well nigh over 8 months ago because of conflicting interests. I suppose that makes me a character of poor judgment, but at the time the group was ethical and releasing free product. It was only after c4e's extortion that the entire process became tainted.
As for Geremia, I give my whole-hearted thanks to his continued efforts towards this scene. I have been very vocal in the past about my misgivings towards him. At the time, those mis-givings were towards secrets & methods that he publically released that were *group contributions*, without gaining prior consent or approval from *the group*. At the time, this was unethical behavior.
Now that c4e has flown his flag, I feel strangely indebted to Geremia. For whatever perceived 'harm' I felt he caused in the past, I can atleast state that his intentions were always for what he perceived to be 'good', and for the past few months, what *I* see as 'good'. This is my way of saying that the past is the past, and the future is sitting pretty for us with the help of Geremia, and my heartfelt thanks go towards him.
What I see as a point of logic is this:
c4e attempted to charge for something not his (copyrighted work), once.
The 2nd time around (LT) we see some inconsistent varibles, despite the 'Team Jungle' (lol!) Twitter page stating that it will be for free, several times. The inconsistency would be the FACT that *resellers* are obtaining 'demos' or 'pre-final' versions of LT.
Let me make this clear: NO ONE gets LT unless c4e specifically designates it to them. This would imply that he was posturing for another business deal, or at the very least working on a business concept. It could well be that this was 'put out there' as a test to see how we would respond to it.
Geremia: Can you confirm whether or not any encryption was used in this version? If it was pre-decrypted, then I highly doubt that this was intended to be a test. If it was, the test would likely be to determine trust-worthy business partners, e.g. 'lets see who leaks this first'. This is of course quite a extensive plan just to determine that, and I honestly dont see it within c4e's character to do this - and I have a pretty damn good judgement of his character since there are very few people that dealt with him directly as much as I did.
