yeah lowering the default reading speed from 12x to let's say 5x, would really let GTA4 (or any of your games) benefit from way less popups and loading times.

wrong... secdata.bin and the various other places that security violations are stored Bugger, what a waste of money that was. Flashed it the day before the bannings started and left it doing nothing ever since. Going to have to flash it to LT anyways and go on, no point in hiding it. Probably just use a memory card at first, see how it goes. |

I bet the nostealth firmware really caused a stab in their face:P |

New to the site.....and too old... to start playing again...
Anyway I just baught an xbox360 for my son to play and I have started to look arround and see the mods existing...
It seems to me that Microsoft has done a good job in protecting their code for more than 4 years.... as nothing seems to defeat xboxlive...
The reason for my reply is that I just saw someone here critisisng C4eva for protecting the code for the LT:
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NESECARRY AND C4EVA SHOULD HAVE DONE SO A LONG TIME AGO NOT NOW THAT 1MILLION XBOX WERE BANNED!!!!!!
WHY?? MICROSOFT READS ALL THESE INFO THEN DESIGNS A PROBE THAT YOU DOWNLOAD WITH YOUR DASHBOARD UPDATE AND VOILA YOU GET BANNED!!!!!!
SO LETS MAKE THEM THINGS A BIT DIFFICULT.....
YES THEY CAN GET BY THEMSELVES A MODDED XBOX AND QUERY IT TO FIND THE CHANGES MADE..... BUT IT IS HIGHLY PROPBABLE THAT THEY CANNOT DO SO FOR A REMOTE UNIT
THE GAME IS SPLIT TO BOTH SIDES: THE KNOW THE HARDWARE-SOFTWARE COMBINATION AND CAN PROBE IT WHILE ONLINE BUT WE HAVE PHYSICAL ACCESS TO THE UNIT!!!
THEIR WEAK POINT IS THE FIRMWARE OF THE DRIVES USED: THEY DROPPED DRIVES THAT CAN HAVE THEIR FIRWARE SAVED (HITACHI SAMSUNG) FOR THE LITEON THAT CANNOT SAVE THEIR STOCK FIRMWARE!!! I GUESS THAT ALL THESE MODDED HITACHIS CAN GO ONLINE WITH THEIR STOCK FIRMWARE AND STAY ALIVE FOREVER.....
C4EVA BEFORE YOU PUBLISH YOUR LT FIRMWARE JUST PUT A DUMMY XBOX ONLINE WITH MODDED FIRMWARE BUT MODDED IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT STILL CANNOT PLAY DUBLICATES......!!!!! IF THEY BAN IT JUST CHECK AGAIN YOUR LT FIRMWARE...

ok just a quick first reply.. 3C000-3C2EF is a strange story, don't know yet exactly if it's a laser calibration data or just a log done during manufacturing tests. There are cmds to dump it or rewrite it with actual values for actual disc inserted, but not found yet a function that uses this area someway. In the doubt, take this area from you original.bin (if you have the full dump). ok i have 4 dumps from 93450c's all 4 where brand new off the shelf and never even been powered up..i flashed/dumped all 4 with ck3 kit and after hex editing all 4 they appear to be blank in that area except for the code below. so i think your theory about it writing data on the fly as and when disks are inserted may well be correct. this is much the same as sony dvd burners that learn with each burn. anyway i should have a few more over the next few days that have actualy been used with originals so will hex edit those and see if any data has been written to those areas. if i get anpther brand new 1 i will go 1 step further and dump as new and then dump again after a cd-rom, dvd5, dvd9 and see if any data has been inserted. but its looking like blank is a good starting point anyway as that is how brand new drives are off the shelf KEYPARAÀÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCDROM

Can anyone give me somekind of tutorial how to get the 3C000-3C2EF strings into the ixtreme firmware? And wich program is best to use? Cause i've tried it a couple of times but I can't find the 3C2EF string anywhere. You would be much appreciated  |
