Just to confirm, if i do a "extract from ixtreme" from jf, would i get a dummy with valid "3C000-3C2EF" strings?
or i need to full dump it? (using the switch method)

use any hexeditor. i personaly use HexEdit and just copy ad paste as though it was a word docu..
ok i got 2 more drives and they have been used and have data in them..very little i admit but still some subtle differences..also LT has some very small differences. i am just wondering if chaging those values to FF apart from cdr,dvd5,dvd9 is a good idea to give it a fresh start and allow it to add its own info..for those that dont have any full dumps eg the older 7 series that used probe and dummy.

If I remember correctly it was research done by members of this forum that discovered the ability to modify the DVD driver firmware to play properly backuped games to begin with and that research was open to anyone who wanted to follow up on it.
You see OPEN and accessible.. not hidden and paid for.
But then I could be wrong..

hello just dump your firmware take your dvd key and serial ( the serial is present in firmware or on the top of the drive ) D608CG*********** open jungle flasher 1.67 b open the firmware lt74.bin or lt83v1.bin or lt83v2.bin or lt93.bin with jungle flasher 1.67b you click on " manual spoofing " insert your dvdkey and drive serial and save this to LT.BIN ( your firmware is ok to be flashed with DOSFLASH1.8 without an héxadecimal software  ) ++ |

test it for me the adress 1ff00 is important for the drive serial all firmwares use this adress ( lt not free use this adress ) nothing firmware use the 3C000-3C2EF adress look this with an hexadecimal editor for me it's sure and tested, just open the firmware lt**.bin and patch your dvdkey and serial with jf 1.67 and is it ok im conected on the live 4h ( 6h00 PM at now 9h39 PM ) french paris gmt+1 my gamertag is "nino xbox" and now conected with this firmware and method and no baned |

But the fact that you are online and not banned doesnt mean nothing really...
Here in brazil i know at least 6 people connected using ixtreme 1.61 non stealth....
Its a known fact that M$ logs people using modified fw and ban them in waves... only when the next ban wave hits we will be certain that this fw or the oficial lt to be released are safe...

With regards to the whole LT conspiracy thing, I think it's worth noting that c4eva and everyone who's worked on the project has the right to do whatever they want with their work. Maybe not legally, but they've put the effort in and if they want to sell the results, so be it.
I don't think any of us truly know what REALLY went on behind the scenes, especially with the supposed LT resellers and such, but I have no problem with them attempting to sell their work (if that's what happened). What I, personally, have an issue with is the deception behind it, the pretending to be working on a free solution when the intent was to charge for it all along. IF that's what happened.
But even then, that's fine - there will always be someone out there willing to jump at the opportunity to crack any kinds of protections that appear, people like Geremia for example. Some do it for glory, others do it out of curiosity, it doesn't really matter which is the case, eventually we'll benefit from it in some way.
I do, however, see some Irony here. c4eva and co help break some encryptions and copy protections in order to prevent MS making as much money from games sales (or "backups"), then all hell breaks loose when the same thing (supposedly) happens to them. If anything, it's just amusing, really.
But nevertheless, it has been fun watching all of the drama. I can honestly say I don't know the full truth of what has been going on, I appreciate everything everyone has done and contributed, both c4eva and Geremia alike. If, at the end of all this, we get a new firmware that keeps us safe for 6 months, all the better, but if not, then its been a good ride and extremely interesting following it all. For me, the firmware was always just a bonus anyway.

I alson have numerous fws from brand new consoles but every one of them played at least one original copy for testing. In couple of days I'm getting two new arcades, one of them for jtaging, so if fresh fws are needed by then I'll provide them.
One other thing to ask. If I backup the nand of a console, and flash it with fw other than LT, then ( in future ) restore the nand and flash the drive with LT, will it be clean?

barcodes serials are blank, manufacturing tests have been quite all skipped, included the one that writes 3C000 area.
as oggy reports, these are visibly 83 upgraded to 93, so they reflashed and skipped the manufacturing mechanical tests.
So, i would mostly say 3C000-3C2EF is just a laser test log.
just fyi, @1FF80 are cmds for mechanical tests, the one that writes laser log should be 0201, which is missing in these dumps

when i have patched after patch with jf no data at 3c000 and 3c2ef ( no change is the same ) the serial of drive is write to 1ff00 --- the .txt with the firm lt free just this : 3c000 and 3c2ef and 1ff00 is not present with this  this, is my first question with the sceen on page5 --- no i see you recomande to use jf1.67 for patching key and serial at 1ff00 etc.. and after with hexadecimal editor patching the key and sérial for the mechanims test 2 methodes is this the best soluion for this firmware ? i have no see this statégie because the all firmwares ixtreme etc dont have data at this adress they are the same problem on all ixtreme firmware ( no data for the response to the mechanism test ) it's effectively possible this are used for a ban  |
