I'm getting a new arcade to substitute my old flashed ( also flagged ) console, and the first thing to do is to backup the nand and after that I'm going right to testing the LT ( once it cames out ).

so sorry for the noob question guys but I cant get a solid answer here reading the posts..

lemme make sure I have this right so far

1) someone was able to get the LT firmware
2)they were able to crack its encryption, the same encryption used to keep it private and charge people for
3) a handful of people have got their hands on the firm ware and it works for booting games
4) the person who cracked it said don't go on live with it yet
5) no one has successfully tried on live without a ban.

do I have my facts straight so far?

There is no point in doing any math. The point is that we are getting the firmware. Just hope someone isn't mad at us, and won't implement a big red flag in the FW Aside from the joke. Let's just be thankful to Geremia for making the fw free ( directly and indirectly ) in the one theory, and thank Team Jungle for giving us the firmware free, and coming out officially ( because everyone of the team was asleep for the past couple of days, tired from a party at Ibiza ), second lovely theory Let's keep the good tone

Well my friend and I tried it.  Modded and updated AFTER modding just to try and get banned...no ban so far, we'll see how long it lasts.

if the firmware are not corect , it's not for give to you a corupt firmware
it's for a free firmware to the scene and not for bizness

The important question is how will the fw work on already flashed consoles. It's normal to assume that a flagged console is done for. But several question are messing with me:

- the update that is assumed to be flagging consoles comes trough Live. Does it mean that console ( flashed ) updated only from disks, and never seen live, are accepted as not flagged.
- the retailed LT was said to not work on 8955, already flashed consoles. Is this a precaution for flagged consoles? I assume so, but it's better to ask
- can someone compile all known methods to spot a flagged console ( the only one sure is calling M$ and asking them directly, but I don't how safe it is for you Live account ).

Absolutely. If Geremia didn't release it there would be no update on twitter. And why protect a firmware when only the dev team/trusted testers would have it?


And of course, big thanks to Geremia for cracking the encryption on the fw.

Like I said I think they were doing a little test run to see reactions and I think geremia put a little end to their run.  I forgot to tell you before, great job Geremia.

someone take this firmware online and free us from this burden of waiting, I already banned one of my xbox weeks ago testing the non sealth  ideas but  it didnt work.

so far I have only seen 1 person go online with this and not get banned.

Just a question, i have a 7xxx drive that i managed to put back to stock (got hold of that blank 7xxx FW and flashed my data to it.) So this drive has gone from factory stock, IX 1.6 and now back to stock. I want to put this free LT on it but i want to know if my data at 3C000-3C2EF is going to missing or different compared to what it would have been from the factory? My original way of hacking the drive was via probe around 12 month ago so i have the key, identify and inquiry. I built the stock FW that's on it now from the blank 7xxx fw i have combined with my key, identify and inquiry. Am i able to get the 3C000-3C2EF data from my files i got when i probed the drive 12 months ago to put into my LT FW to make it as real as possible?

But because it has been flashed multiple times would it have been retained each time or would have IX1.6 flashed over it with what i see now?
