Neptune, I know your pissed...(but you need to clear up your topic) i swear dude...I just did another 2 Xenons and have no problem with this...
as was said, !switch is only called when a device is present,as far as i know it has to have some kind of voltage/id/device to be seen then run the timer then switch??? or something to that affect...
and the xd card slot is just like the nand itself when it's powered up....there shouldn't be no delay...
are you using the reader/writer wired up  in the 360 to write and as a nand holder itself?

I am just going to let this one go.

If anyone has anything constructive to add to this thread please do.

All I can tell you that is different that I failed to mention (which it shouldn't matter) is I used a xD-SmartMedia adapter and soldered onto the SmartMedia pins. SMC and xD both have a NAND inside and have the same pins just a different layout.

This is wired inline with an onboard NAND. Same as I have done a few other times, only difference is the adapter (which I used because it is such a cleaner install)

Nothing else strange about this box (visually) except he fried the fan MOSFET's and bridged them and fans run at full 12v.

I ve had same prob as Neptune after flashing xbr_3 on my xenon when trying to boot to xell I get black screen flashing green light on rol board most time once in a great while it will boot to e79 and when trying to boot xell using eject it just boots the dashboard.  I've tried patcking xbr.bin with key.bin and tried key.Bin and config.bin also tried just writting xbr then writting key n config none of this works and results are the same....if I flash nand1 back to NAND works as it did before...also was able to boot xell from xbr_1.  Just not xbr_8955_3 I'm not using a xd card but same results he was having
