question about the jtag hack just a thought really

well im just kinda curious just in theory could you read/write the nand if for example a device was made to go over the nand chip and touch the pins..much like the old DMS mod chip for the PS2's. Or would there still need to be the resistors and diodes in the appropriate places. Again this would be just in theory but it just came to mind..maybe im crazy
