XBR Patches for Freeboot 0.2 (Experimental) 1. Read hack.bin from the Xbox 360 flash memory. 2. Inject patch_<console>.bin to your hack.bin (NandPro v2.0b by Tiros) NandPro hack.bin: -W16 patch_falcon.bin 65 1 3. Write hack.bin to the Xbox 360 flash memory. http://www.sendspace.com/file/xc2xfeLast freeboot section (hypervisor and kernel?) replaced by XBR patches Xenon - tested (tx RIPsta) Zephyr - NOT tested Falcon - tested Jasper -NOT tested XBR use freeboot as loader and now freeboot uses XBR's patches For manual image build replace Freeboot patches http://www.sendspace.com/file/in93qn

Because it's more hassle to remove it once installed??? Jeez, thought that was obvious!

you have a hard time trying to understand what i mean huh
what is obvious that anyone who still uses dual nand freeboot is a retard because the single nand solution XBR simply is better (freeboot don't boot unsigned GOD containers)
i have a cygnos, and I don't use the dual nand. why would you, unless freeboot releases with newer patches.

there is actually 1 "easy" reason.. and thats if you like to edit/move around xex & xexp files (xam.xex for example..) for patching etc.. well untill there is a nice app that can do it from the dash i mean

Uploaded patches works with GOD and unpatched xexes.

What a great effort I'm not the only one who thinks that this useless Cygnos/fr€€BOOT association is near to say: out of business.

Before ya'll start bashing the cygnos chip remember that it's currently the most stable way to reboot into a patched kernel. I have two Zephyrs laying around, one with a cygnosv2 + freeBOOT 0.2 and the other with XBR 3b for Zephyr. The XBR console supports unsigned stuff in many ways yes but it's not as stable as the freeBOOT 0.2 console. For example I can turn the console off and on without having to wait between each power cycle with the cygnosv2, it will always boot! If I turn the XBR console off, I'll have to wait for at least a minute before turning it on in order to get it to boot. If I don't wait the jtag hack will fail and it'll display E79 and erase all my settings (which sucks since I heavily adjust everything from the video reference levels to auto-signin for my profile).

I understand. You found paradise in America, you had a good trade, you made a good living. The police protected you and there were courts of law. And you didn't need a friend like me. But, uh, now you come to me, and you say: "Don Corleone, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect. You don't offer friendship. You don't even think to call me Godfather. Instead, you come into my house on the day my daughter is to be married, and you ask me to do murder for money.

XBR is stable as freeBOOT, I have not those problems you comment. XBR is the best method to boot in a patched kernel. Cygnos is very expensive (and, now, almost without functionality). I repeat, XBR is stable. XBR patches are in freeBOOT format, it is very easy to put them on freeBOOT.

What a great effort I'm not the only one who thinks that this useless Cygnos/fr€€BOOT association is near to say: out of business. Despite the fact I don't use freeboot, and I am disappointed they don't support single NAND, I AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE HARDWORK DONE BY IKARI THE FREEXEX TEAM. He chose not to support single-nand as a priority and if that motivation was driven by an interest in Cygnos sales (which we don't know for sure), then so be it. Whenever you do something for money you have to be prepared for someone to undercut you. XBR coder(s) chose to provide a single nand method and I am grateful to them too. If somebody eventually releases a full custom 3rd party dashboard I'm sure XBR will become obsolete as well.

Where do I have linked fr€€BOOT/Cygnos with freeXEX?. OMG! Do you think they are the same??? Can't believe that!.... if that motivation was driven by an interest in Cygnos sales
Elementary, Mr. Watson If somebody eventually releases a full custom 3rd party dashboard I'm sure XBR will become obsolete as well. So the point is? Main thing here is that XBR coder(s) don't take any profit/benefit based on the HARD WORK made by the real sceners. Sadly, fr€€XEX/fr€€BOOT/Cygnos members can't say the same. Regards

I had a brain fart, I thought I remembered seeing the FreeXeX ASCII logo in the Freeboot 0.01 readme. I did not.

Did you get XBR working with a cygnos without changing the internal installation? If so, how did you build it?

I can power cycle my console continuosly and it'll boot without problems with XBR3 so there is something wrong with your installation.

If so, how did you build it? it's being talked about in three topics on this forum, how exactly are you missing it? my guess it's hard to use the search on this forum?? Or did you flash XBR3b?
