Can anyone clue me in as to what I need to do to the XBR.bin (after I've used NandPro to inject the kv and the config) to get it to work on my cygnos?
I've already got my patched_smc, which I *think* needs to be injected into the XBR.bin, but I'm not sure how I would do that (or if it's the right thing to do).
Thanks in advance...

out of pure curiosity why are you flashin XBR to a cygnos should you not be flashing freeboot?

from the readme: - Eliminate media binding path checks, run xex from all media without patching.
xexs from USB work without the hassle of patching TU's now.. enabling dlc

from what i've been told you patch the patched smc.bin in the xbr.bin using ibuild (or another way)

I've tried inserting my patched smc into a prepared XBR image using 360 flash tool...no luck.
Other thoughts or ideas?

using 360 flash tool...no luck. stop using flash tool don't you guys read the readme on these apps? : * Added ability to open ZeroPaired images, but WARNING this should be treated as read only. I suspect it will destroy the nand image if used to modify the file. try the cygnos v1.01 firmware.. i've read some on here, and on xbox-scene.. people using XBR on cygnos getting E79, but cygnos v1.01 firmware fixing this (google "cygnos how to xbr")

I thought that firmware might work...but I haven't been able to locate it anywhere...
I'll head down that path. Thanks.
Edit: For anyone else looking for it: http://www.cygnos360.com/Downloads/Cygnos360%20V2%20Firmware%201.01.zip
Edit2: No luck. With firmware 1.01 on the cygnos, and XBR burned to the 360 nand, and the cygnos set to boot the 360 nand...single green light in the center (and, for some reason the cygnos light comes on, much like it does in freeboot), but that's it.

heres a nice little thought, seeing as how XBR now uses freeboots patch engine, why not just feed freeboot the patch.bin that XBR uses

I have used both XBReboot and freeBOOT with Cygnos V2. For XBReboot you need the 1.01 firmware. Just make the XBR .bin file as instructed and flash it to cygnos or xbox360.
XBReboot is waaaay easier to get working and now is also the better option.

I tried this. No luck... Did you flash it to your 360 nand, or the cygnos nand? (I don't think it should matter, actually)

I got it working on both NANDs'. I had no troubles other than finding out you need 1.01.

Hmm, now I'm inspired to try again... *sigh*
Can you tell me this...when it was flashed to your 360 nand, and the cygnos was "off"..did the blue light come on when you booted XBR? That happened in one of my attempts, and it seemed wrong...
Thanks.

dont know if it helps but i injected my keyvault and config into the xbr bin and flashed it straight to the cygnos nand and it works fine with no messing about, using firmware 1.3 and the updating wiring diagram from the cygnos website

Wow, I wouldn't expect the new wiring to affect this?

I have XBR 3a on my Cygnos360 v2 (Falcon MB). Here is how I did it: - Dump original NAND with Cygnos360 v2 Toolbox 1.05 to orig.bin.
- nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1
- nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
- Download XBR. (XBR_Falcon_8955_3a.bin for me)
- nandpro XBR_Falcon_8955_3a.bin: -w16 rawkv.bin 1 1
- nandpro XBR_Falcon_8955_3a.bin: -w16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
- Flash XBR to second NAND.
- Boot up, got E79.
- Flash 1.01 firmware to Cygnos.
- Boot up, success!

Yes, I can confirm that XBR runs on Cygnos V2 with firmware 1.01.
But nevertheless I'd like to know how to insert the patched smc.bin from Cygnos Toolbox into XBR, so I can use firmware 1.02 and the upcoming 1.03 which will allow faster flashing. Can't be THAT hard, but there is no info on the net. Can't it just be inserted via nandpro like the rawconfig.bin and rawkv.bin?
