I tried to extract the config once, from my 512mb jasper, but it was just full of FF blocks (so it was "empty"). I thought, why should i even bother include it when its empty? So i flashed without the config and it worked like a charm... I uploaded XBR v3 BB on ul.to (directly downloaded from xbins and uploaded on ul.to): http://ul.to/if0wf1Still flashing, just 1 hour and 30 mins to go  |

Then you extracted the wrong sector. the config sectors contain individual fanspeed adjustments and temp calibration, and your MAC and other things.
It is NEVER empty.

I compared old one xbr _1 with new one _3 and I didn't notice any differences after block C0 So I thing if someone already using xbr_1 should flash only 192 blocks 0x00-0xC0 I will test this tomorrow morning -- sorry for my english  |

Flashed XBReboot v0.05 8955_3 to my 512MB Jasper and it works perfectly. No lagging or slowdowns. Now to update Xell with redlines version. Great work to all involved.

I will test this tomorrow morning I did that too, but haven't got time to test it yet. But u only need to flash the first 2377kb. After that there seems to be no difference. Will test this later. |

Just finished testing, here's the result:
the default Xell that came with XBR3 (Boots with Eject button ) does show the fuses values while scrolling,
and it ends with the fuses at the left corner of the screen, fuseSet4 + fuseSet5 = CPU Key
RedLine99's Xell (Boots with Window Media Center button on Remote or Wired controller on Back USB port )will scroll
all the way down then ends up with the CPU & DVD Keys displayed at the bottom of the screen for easier copying.
N.B: while flashing from Gentoo, I forgot the HDD connected this time, i had to use 'sdb1' for the memory stick
instead of 'sda1' and the weird part is that lflash dumped the nand fine and freezed while starting to flash XBR.
I turned off then turned on with eject button and Xell booted fine ( It was already flashed before lFlash freezed )
so i removed the HDD and tried again, everything went fine this time.

Ok, got some time to test the "fast update" option for XBR3 big block. This only works if u have XBRv1 flashed to nand (its just the updated data, not the whole XBR). U need this file: http://ul.to/cspi9nReadme included. Works like charm now and only needs 5min to flash. |

So does anyone know where the config is then i extracted ef7 and it was all ff so im not sure where it is then. My xbreeboot is working but i dont have a mac address and just worried that the fan not increasing speed when the temp gets up a bit. Any help would be appreciated. Im happy to upload my nand so someone can find it for me.

If you have Jasper 16M ("newstyle") and -your flashconfig = 00023010 -your nand address at 0x71=01 -your nand address at 0x200 of raw keyvault.bin = 00 01 00 instead of 01 00 00 -Flashtool 0.90 reports crap data instead of file listing (0.91 was fixed) then the official XBR for jasper16 will not work (bootanim hangs, E79, redlight on bottom-right) and Xell loads ok. So you need fixed version (thanks to Geremia) from http://rapidshare.de/files/48928634/XBR_Jasper16newSB_8955_3.zip.htmlIt looks like i have that problem! Im getting flashconfig = 00023010 My Jasper CB is 6712 I flashed the xbox with Looouky Xellous method: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dnfmv5h_0hbhwdzfvHe helped me fix my Jasper 512, but this Jasper 16 wont work I flashed it with these XBRs: XBR_Jasper16_8955_3.bin XBR_Jasper16_8955_3a.bin XBR_Jasper16newSB_8955_3.bin None worked, some give me e72, some give me e79, some get stuck on the Xbox logo screen on bootup, some i get blank screen. If any one knows what i can do to fix this, i flashed it back to the original nand and its working again. This jasper has the old dashboard.  |
