I flashed _1 again including config, now it works again.
Does zephyr _3a "kill" the flash again or is it working?

it's working.
But there is not a single person reporting it as working Not on xb-h and not on xb-s ... Only some people telling that they only get their ROL power led working

ok anyone else had problems with a Xenon not booting after flash XBR_Xenon_8955_3 yet XBR_Xenon_1921_8955_1 works flawless? not a newb and read plenty
followed commands to the t, i even went as far as updating console to 7371 because my cb was only 1908 before and kernel was 2.0.2858.0
so i dump nands again read kv and config injected them both and flashed and no boot after flash won't even power on i flash back to XBR_Xenon_1921_8955_1 and it works fine
tried flashing _3 twice with the same results reflashed stock and _1 both work fine
dumping _3 now to see how it compares to one on pc

When I went from _1 to _3 on my Xenon, I got RROD. I resolved it by erasing the flash and reflashing _3. After flashing _3 the second time I power-cycled the box. After that it worked flawlessly. I don't know if erasing the flash is necessary, but it worked for me (twice).

i would also like to know if this helps, mine works but sometimes i get the red lights and sometimes i dont, i can play for a good while and then it will just freeze, then turn on it will be fine again or red light, dont know if erasing and a complete reflash would help or not, it has had the xclamp fix and the 12v fan mod

i think I have new SB jasper (0x71=01) .. but how to check blockID's? forgive my noobness
flash tool v0.90 reports crap instead of file listing hexedit your raw KV.bin extracted with nandpro, at address 0x200 you see 00 01 00 instead of oldstyle 01 00 00 I just checked and i do have the values u mentioned as a new SB Elite Japser16: My 2 Elite Japsers are both mid June 2009 too, so must be same revision as yours I do have (0x71=01) in my 2 identical nand dumps , also i have the new style in my raw_kv.bin at address 0x200 = 00 01 00 and my nand dumps opens fine in flash tool v0.90 !! To tell you the full story of the XBR3 update, the first Elite have always failed reading Block 13F with error 250 in nandpro, so i remapped the Block 13F to the spare Blocks using BadBlockMover in XBR3 and flashed with nandpro to get E71 on every boot + Xell booting fine. then I took a clean copy of XBR3 without remapping any block just injected kv.bin (i never inject config.bin in any XBR i used and it's always working fine) and this time used lflash instead of nandpro and it worked fine from the first time ( despite the tons of warning messages it produced and the flashconfig parameter edited to match 0023010 ) I think lFlash is handling bad blocks in a better way ( maybe not, i didn't inspect all the source code ) but at least it worked every time with lflash, and the standard un-modified XBR3 release.

If you have Jasper 16M ("newstyle") and -your flashconfig = 00023010 -your nand address at 0x71=01 -your nand address at 0x200 of raw keyvault.bin = 00 01 00 instead of 01 00 00 -Flashtool 0.90 reports crap data instead of file listing (0.91 was fixed) then the official XBR for jasper16 will not work (bootanim hangs, E79, redlight on bottom-right) and Xell loads ok. So you need fixed version (thanks to Geremia) from http://rapidshare.de/files/48928634/XBR_Jasper16newSB_8955_3.zip.html

Thanks for reporting your result.
I'll try the lflash method with an official XBR jasper16 image to see what happens.

I had this is issue, could not get it to work with my injected config.bin. Even though the same file worked fine in XBR_Xenon_1921_8955_1. With only the KV injected, XBR_Xenon_8955_3 worked fine. My case was just a bad config.bin write, works fine with both KV and config data injected

A huge thanks to the dev team for releasing patches so quickly I dont know who you are but I'm sure you that you have made many modders very happy campers now the 360 is wide open. Happy days ahead!
Xenon working with _3 and now Zephyr working with _3b after bricking with _3a. I used the lpt method to flash the nand for both.

I am having problems I had my Xenon flashed with 8955_1 with no problems cept few games freezing but thats normal, then i flashed it to 8955_3 and i got e79 tried again e79 then i flashed my original unpatched dash backup and it boots fine does this mean my jtag wiring has become broken cos i have it hot glued so i think it should be fine?? any ideas i have tried disconnecting power after flash and i have flashed my keyvault still e79??
Edit i've managed to get it to boot 8955_3 now and xell it was just a loose connection in my jtag wires as i thought.

BTW, is there a specific manufacturer date that M$ added the new southbridge to Jaspers like after April 2009 or something or earlier than that?
