I was wondering if orig.bin gets overwritten if you run the xtreme.bat more that once?

yes if you ran the xtreme.bat from the same directory as the orig.bin from previous flashes

No there are no current updates that will stop the firmware hack.

Hey guys,

I just celebrated my drive's getting recognized by windows after a while, so I started to run commodore's xtreme.bat (Got a 46). At every step (except the dumping, this works great) I get "fopen() failed". My MSI K8T Neo2-F V2.0 has a "Serial ATA/150 controller integrated VT8237R", that's what the manual says. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance

Flo

EDIT: Oh sorry, just saw it's the 47 Thread, but I hope you can help me anyway. Sorry

EDIT2: Got it, somehow, the xtrm-e.bin was deleted or not unpacked. Anyway, works perfectly!

Hi Guys,

I have a P5RD1-VM motherboard (ULI® M1573 southbridge (SATA))
I can see my Hitachi 0047DJ in the BIOS.

I boot the SLAX C.D. after it finished I reset the computer. and eject the SLAX C.D.
I think the hitachi drive is in mode B now, because I can open and close the drive, and the light is flashing

I boot windows, but windows does not see the drive...

Can anybody help me??

Ps. I don't want to try the two wire trick......

While in windows and the Hitachi is flashing (ModeB) goto Device Manager -> DVD/CD ROM DRIVES
right click and : scan for hardware changes.

I use the 2 wires trick to get it in ModeB because always had problems with Slax method..
