why be so anal about it? hes only asking what it is and how to get a replacement.

surely someone looking for the caps would look for the ones closest to the gpu without getting a friggin ruler out to measure 1 1/4"

streethawk sir you are a legend and a gentleman thanks so much

the mobo is a falcon and the cap is missing from in front of the GPU heatsink circled in the picture below

the cap is 8mm diameter and 12mm tall silver with purple writing which reads

736
SEPC
820
2.5

the caps are to highlight the post apologies if it offends anyone.

thanks reverseaffect for your valuable input, no need for such arrogance sorry i didnt give coordinates for the cap ill remember next time! when i said next to i meant in general terms i was in the process of photographing it.

streethawk please pm me and i will sort you out for postage etc

the cap came off clean with no leakage or damage to board, guess i need to play with this heatgun a bit more b4 i use it on a customers board lol

thanks again for your help

the cap was 2.5V not 4V dont think you could swap them

noticed from the several boxes of customers that the caps change after XENON from 4v to 2.5V

i remembered i had an elite upstairs that i was going to send in for repair got the parts from that but unfortunately it did not fix the problem looks like i f***ed more on the board up than just the cap think i caused a bridge under the RAM chips continual 0110 error and pulsing of fans etc

ended up selling both the boxes to get the cash for a new one.

genuine thanks for you guys help and thanks for the offer of parts much appreciated.

lesson learned!!

you can always replace caps with a higher voltage version. it just means it can handle a higher voltage.

now why did you go ahead and say that $#!t for?
I know what the cap was you posted it in your first post and posted the picture..
I do know what limits are on caps...amongst tons of other things....
Don't post if you don't think 'you could swap them'...because i know.....i have done it many times with a whole bunch of devices....
I am not trying to get in a pissing on match with you.I am just saying!
now on that note, i am done with this post...by the way 25+ years in electronics helps!
I think it would be wiser in the future,if you hire someone to fix your $#!t....Tongue
"walks away swearing like a mofo at noobs"...lol just kidding? Happy  Holiday.....
