It MUST be xD and MUST be either 32MB or 64MB (32 is recommended)

16 or 32, 64 doesn't work without changing resistor settings.

you can use a xd to sm adapter, but it needs to be altered and wired to the nand as shown in redline99's setup and god these xd card posts are starting to get scrambled all over

sm thanks gents, i just dont want to have to keep soldering db25 wires in and out, lastnight i was looking through my boxes of odd cables and i came across a 5 pin din plugged ext lead,i was thinking of cutting it into and soldering the 5 wires from that into xenon, put the female plug out a hole in the lid in a grommit, then wire the male end of the ext lead to the db25,giving me a simple way to just plug in and reflash,i have to have a closer look a redlines then,is that a swith for chicing nand bank?

5 is not enough. You need 7.

A DB9 (serial) would be perfect as that's what I'm thinking of using, easy to get hold of too.

sorry my old printer skipped the bottom 2 off that free60 7 wire pic, i couldnt understand why it was called 7 wire when i could see 8,it just 7 for ltp,and duggyuk i agree but still wait a switch ,and the smart media xd adaptor is a bloody good idea, handy ,you can have a added way of flashing, via usb reader writer,or the female db9(i think i'll use thanks duggyuk)connected to correct points, and you never know how many differnet writters of xbreboot and alike they'll be so i really think the swap of xd's may be a must!!i done a hybryd advance kit fix earlier in the oven and its worked a treat,i all set to just waiting on some more kynar wire, royal mail hey!

yeah well i got the bits for an xd mod, but i also have an infecus installed which makes bricking the onboard pretty much impossible (so gonna give it a few weeks before i crack open the 360 for a xd mod install) :-)

lordmash, any radio shack has what you need for like $3 dollars or less per piece....unless you don't have a radioshack by you... also, the MAUSB-10 SM/XD and the FujiXD SM/XD along with programmer/coding made by warpjavier and the supplied drivers, made by another great member from here...make it possible to use these devices for flashing the SM/XD card through your win7/winXP's USB......

that why i think i'll go for redlines as i have the fuji usb it came free via slr camera voucher i sent off, and have as many nands as xd's with ease of swapping is a must , i think i will do a jtag lpt to db9 female, then mount in case then just make a db25 to db9 male, just cos it hate soldering unless its for ££££
