Someone mentioned you could out put a debug log. Does anyone have any info on that?
Someone already tried the serial debug port, no data during freeze. Unless someone patches serial debug info into something you wont get anything out of it. One would suspect that one of the patches or the patching mechanism itself would cause lag, or maby the different layout of the NAND/patched HD, but thats just speculation.

Slowdowns (framerate issue) in Turtles in time XBLA, especially in prehistoric part. I remember reading a while back in the original xell hack that the processor ran at a reduced speed, could it be possible that XBReboot does not set the processor speed correctly? Or maybe like others said, it could be a memory leek.

After having said XBR freezes up on some games in #fw, i got this reply:
"i did too for 3 days, turned out to be bad writes, and putting in that 330 ohm resistor as a jumper rather then just a wire helped a lot"
so maybe it'll help you guys.. wouldn't know maybe this guy is full of it.. but he played AC2, L4D2 for 2 hours at least without freezing... and some other guy mentioned too he could play games without freezing

Has anyone else/ould someone try the 330ohm resistor and a rewrite? This sounds very tempting.

With my (limited) knowledge this doesn't make sense as the jtag is used only for the initial exploit and then nothing else. Anyway I use the old 3 resistor jtag method and I still get slow downs. Utar

Did he mean that XBReboot itself works fine, but is often (always?) flashed incorrectly due to the 330 Ohm resistor?

If that was the case, anyone with an XD mod (which can be flashed on a PC) would have no problems with xbrebooter. If anyone who has that setup can post and let us know, it would be appreciated.

I actually flashed XBR before adding the JTAG connections, and still got slowdowns.

Resident Evil 5 freezes right at the beginning of the first level, everytime. GTA 4 Episodes from LS works without freezes.
Setup: Elite Jasper 16MB May 09, no read errors in nand backup, prebuild XBR with config nand keyvault inserted, playing from internal hdd.

Its a problem with xbr its self, It also has to do with the black screen bug where you have to push guide before anything will show up.
Its like its not clearing the memory when it should so it just starts to lock up. Thats also why low graphic and arcade games mostly run fine.

I have just connected a 330ohm resistor between J2D2.4 and J2D2.7 and while XBReboot loads up, the freezing problem is exatly the same. Tested with AC2 and an original, unhacked trial version of Trials and everything is exactly the same as before.
I have installed XBReboot on both a Jasper and a Xenon, and are having exactly the same problems as everyone else.
XBReboot seams great and big thanks to the guys that made it. This freezing bug is very annoying but hopefully it can/will be fixed soon.

Nofreeboot does not have the same issues. It has been discussed on this forum a few times.
