When this most recent wave started, I immediately took my Elite offline and gave it a permanent vacation away from Live in order to avoid any banning and corruption issues. My girlfriend and I continued to use the console to play games and obtain achievements offline.

A few weeks later, I ordered a new Arcade, figuring I would just swap the HDD over from the Elite and continue from where we left off. Unfortunately, on the day it arrived, I came home from work to find that my girlfriend had already opened the package and recovered *both* of our profiles onto the internal memory unit of the new console, which is exactly what I did *not* want to happen.

Since the profiles on the HDD are now invalidated, my only option appears to be to recover them back onto it, which would obviously cause us both to lose the associated gamerscore and achievements we acquired over the last 5-6 weeks. Not really a big deal, but, before giving in and doing so, I figured I would at least ask if there was any way I could prevent this from happening.

I have complete backups of our profiles and saves from the Elite. Is there any way I could inject or resign the ID's on those profiles to match the new Arcade and avoid a recovery? I'm sure it's a longshot, but am curious to find out either way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i am in similar situation

from what ive gathered you have to dump the NAND of the new xbox then get keyvault from it with CPU key

then use this with a con resigner to resign the gamesave to your new console id and rehash it then put it onto the hdd and boot itup

this is my theory i have yet to get it working may just be my PC

get a con resigner that resigns console_id. done.

no need for your keyvault, you can use any

btw your elite was not yet banned, so you could just swap the hdd without going through all this hassle, no need to resign with another console_ID

Swapping the HDD and avoiding the hassle was definitely my original intention. Unfortunately, once the profiles were recovered onto the new console before the swap occurred, the headaches began ("Your Xbox live information isn't valid" when attempting to sign in, etc).

So, it's just a simple case of resigning the original, Elite profiles with the ID from the Arcade and having them be able to load once again? Thanks for the clarification, I'll definitely give it a shot.

get a con resigner that resigns console_id. done.

To update, I went ahead and attempted this and didn't have any success. Signing in locally isn't, and has never been, a problem, but, no matter what combination of resigning, rehashing, and comparing the console, profile, and/or device ID's I used, I could never get the older profile to connect to XBL. I checked and re-checked numerous times over, and injected all the data/ID's from the working profile over to the old one so they were a seemingly perfect match, but it was always a no go.

Perhaps I am completely overlooking something, and feel free to let me know if so, but, at this point, unless Gazza's theory ends up being correct (for the record, I don't have the KV for the new console, so that's the one thing I haven't attempted yet), this may just be a lost cause. Hopefully, someone can tell me otherwise.

ok guys i got the gamesaves uncorrupted and resigned to my new console ID

worked a treat got all my gamesaves back but did not get the achievements.

you basically have to dump the NAND of new box, decrypt the keyvault, and use it in the con resigner

problems i ran into was that the latest version of 360flashtool does not give you a kv.bin that works wrong offsets involved, used the older 0.81 version and it gave me a god kv.bin then used this with the con resigner and bobs your mothers brother.

did not hash the files just resigned them with new console id

pissed about the achievements as one of the games was assassins creed 2 and i was almost done so gotta play the whole lot again to get them.

at least it is an awesome game!!
