Hi, hope someone can help.

I have been flashing drives for sometime using jungleflasher but recently bought an XBOX360 that seems to have no DVD key in the drive, i don't know if someone tried to flash and got it wrong or what.

Is it possible to get the DVD key from the motherboard to use with a new drive?

thanks for any helpful comments.

Hi,

Do you never read the rules before posting in forums? This has been answered 524435476413568645687463568742546874 times!

But just for completeness, here we go one more time;

The answer is yes, now with the JTAG hack, assuming you don't have a Kernal which is revision 849x or above the you can use JTAG to load Xell, Xell to dump CPU key, CPU Key to decrypt KV and the its just a matter of plucking the DVD Key from the KV.

Everything you need to be able to do this is on here, just SEARCH the forums, you're lucky I replied before one of the mods sent this straight to the trash.

One of my favourites - "Read until you puke, like the rest of us"

That'll be 524435476413568645687463568742546875 and counting then......

Dale.

that answer is pretty straightforward and the OP had that coming with such a stupid question... on a technical hacking board.... where usually people are able to search ... unlike him .

  Very few people have the time strap on a leash and walk the dog through the proverbial hoops, so to speak.  Assistance is always available to those who need it, however the heart and soul of hacking requires the ability to think for ones self and apply knowledge gained from previous experiences of the self and others who have shared information.  The straightforward answers to every question are not always given, but if one learns to read between the lines and make educated decisions on what information is important the clues to almost every question you can ask are avaialable here.  You just need to read between the lines, collect much information from many posts and assemble the collection of knowledge in an organized manner.  I for one came here years ago with little more than what I would call... PC competency and I read, read and read for days... then I made a detailed plan to learn and made myself useful to some... this is how one becomes a productive member of the community and unfortunately, those who wish to offer nothing and gain everything are useless to the community and therefore are flamed in the previous manner.  Any questions, pull the pin on this grenade and someone will be with you shortly.
