Anyone having problems getting XBReboot to run higher than 480p? In the settings it says I need to switch the AV/HDTV switch to HDTV even thou it is, it works normally on another console.
I thought it might be something to do with XBR being based on NTSC so flashed my config blocks but that didn't sort it  Huh

I'm running a PAL XBR, and I'm getting 1080p out.

Nothing special, swapped kv with bincrypt before flashing.

So where do I get a PAL XBR from. I have updated to .1 but the problem still remains.

I can't be the only one with this problem can I? Im going to flash stock back thou to make sure its not a hardware prob my end but the box worked fine when it was stock.

EDIT: stock and the problem remains, just took board out of cage and its working now  Cool silly user  Tongue

@Arakon

You got a USB-Stick or similar attached while booting up?
If yes, unplug it.

Nope, nothing. just the board, power, and tv.
exact same file with different kv/config boots fine on another xenon.

I'm getting E74 with XBR on Falcon and A/V cable plugged. If I unplug it, nothing but the middle led happen. Now I flashed back to XeLL and the box boots fine. strange!

No, you just have to fill a glass with donkey sperm and chug it real hard, accomplishes the same thing as flashing the drive fw

can someone explain me what ive to do to get mame360 working?
how many times was this question answered?

Look back in this thread

i dont think that this was discussed many times. the thing you can read is: crypt->burn as default.xex on cd->launch.

so, is there a way to put it on hdd? i put the retail files on the hdd in the 00000000 folder (where the xbla games are), it shows the mame360 in the game library but it gives a error when i want to launch.

i copied a media update from an other console, but it doesnet work. i shall download it again.

what i have to do to install that xex loader from xbins, you can see in that video?

some ideas?

Well i am going to try and help everyone out there tyring to load mame or what have you.
You dont need to uncrypt anything. All i did was take your dev mame version and change the .xex to default.xex. burn to disc and make sure you have the media folder there to. just burn it all to the root of the cd/dvdr and it will load no problem. thats what i did and it worked perfectly. the load times were a little slow but thats ok.
Also you have to put your roms on a usb stick. Im sure you could edit the .ini to put them on the cd/dvdr but i havent tested that.
hope this helps everyone trying to load and test all this out.have fun! Wink

I got the bad block issue fixed, thanks to Tiros.
Here's what do to:

first, read the bad block from the original file (in my case block 103) AND the XBR file:

nandpro orig.bin: -r16 103.bin 103 1
nandpro xbr.bin: -r16 103x.bin 103 1

Then flash the original bad block to 103 in xbr, and the valid 103 block to 3FF in xbr:

nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 103.bin 103 1
nandpro xbr.bin: -r16 103x.bin 3ff 1

how can you tell if you have a bad block(s)?  I absolutely can't get xbr to boot, I just get flashing red and green lights.

Why exactly 3ff ?
There is some way to locate this "availables" blocks ?

@arakon: thanks for that post that's really useful for me.  I assume the last command should be:

nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 103x.bin 3ff 1

@stunt: run your original nand dump through Infectus Nand Checker.

@sandugas: The last 0.5MB of the flash is reserved for bad blocks with 3ff being the final block.  I believe the nand controller works backwards from the final block when remapping errors, however I think you could probably use any block in the last 0.5MB and it would work.
