I was wondering ... Is this will still work with PIC 16F628A solution ? Works great, just need to hex edit freeboot.bin for the UART speed the same way as in 0.01. This release supports manual switches without any editing, just use freeboot-manual.bin instead. The ring of light will count down to when the 8955 fs will be booted, it's very well done. Though the PIC would still do it automated.

FIXED THAT ONE BUDDY (the link wasn't working for me, so I assumed it didn't for some others either - I take no credit though)
Since when do you not try and take credit for everything?

I can confirm that XBR_Xenon_8955_0 works fine from a single nand Xbox and boots into 8955 and doesn't blow any CB lockdown fuses. I tried it on one of my Xenon's with R6T3 still in place and then shut it down and booted it again the second time. Obviously if it had blown a CB lockdown fuse (which I was sure it wasn't going to do otherwise I'd have never tried it in the first place) then it wouldn't have booted a second time.
Don't forget to insert your own keyvault into the image before flashing it.
Secdata shows as clean in XVal. Gamer profile is fine. Games work fine (tried Left 4 Dead 2). It did freeze up on me once when I was exiting the game to the dashboard but a restart cured that.
Many congratulations to whoever coded it.
It's a shame it kind of stole a little bit of the thunder from ikari's excellent second release of freeBOOT. Just want to say a huge thanks to ikari and his team of helpers (you know who you are) who have worked tirelessly to bring freeBOOT 0.02 to us.

I haven't tried booting an unsigned xex yet so I can't answer that.

I understand. You found paradise in America, you had a good trade, you made a good living. The police protected you and there were courts of law. And you didn't need a friend like me. But, uh, now you come to me, and you say: "Don Corleone, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect. You don't offer friendship. You don't even think to call me Godfather. Instead, you come into my house on the day my daughter is to be married, and you ask me to do murder for money.

13. The freeBOOT image can now be built. Open a Cygwin shell and change to the directory where you extracted the contents of this archive into. Launch the Python build script with the following parameters:
> python build.py bin/<console>_hack.bin smc.bin
The "bin\<console>_hack.bin" image is a standard JTAG hack image and can be found at the usual places. The "smc.bin" is a patched SMC generated by the Cygnos toolbox. When the build process finishes successfully, a new image "bin\hack.bin" can be found.
what if i dont have cygnos? and cant run cygnos toolbox? wrrrrrrrr

Have you tried holding the sync button in while the box is booting?

It mentions that you can use the V1 Cygnos. Do you still need Infectus for this?

what if i dont have cygnos? and cant run cygnos toolbox? wrrrrrrrr If you don't have cygnos v2, do this instead: python build.py bin/<console>_hack.bin Simple, yes? It will then use the hacked smc from the free60 _hack.bin like it should.

Worked first time, awesome work guys!! Question, if we can add ANY SATA drive and officially format it from within the 360 dashboard, will that drive work fine on a retail 360?

no as the retail dash will be expecting a signature on the drive.
what are you using to run this?

Xenon with SMC resistors in place and single onboard nand
I downloaded XBR_Xenon_8955_0.bin and injected my KV from an earlier nand dump before flashing to the nand using an infectus. There's about a 3-5 second pause after pressing power on before it boots into the Dashboard, takes you through the whole "Welcome to Xbox, blah blah blah"

Still E71 for me, on a second console too. How did you switch the keyvaults? I tried both decrypt/encrypt, and just extract/replace (no en/decrypt) with bincrypt.
