Xbox Live Sends Update even when you choose NO?

So Ive hacked my gamerscore to about 50k ...not to big not to small and all works great, had it for months.  Went to do my friends gamerscore today - Recovered his name to my spare HD i never use...downloaded profile to PC and used profile editor to change the achievements etc.  uploaded file back on to HD and then reconnected to pc.  His gamer score goes from 48k to 134k  .  Sign on XBL and asked to update - I choose YES.  Name signs on and shows 134k as Gamerscore.  After a few mins rechecked GS and it was at 52k.    Disconnected HD from 360 and reconnected to pc and reuploaded the profile to the HD  changed the order of acheivements ETC.  Hooked HD back up to 360 and 134k shows again.  Try to connect to XBL and it asks to Update again, or you cant play ETC So i choose NO and it says Disconnected from XBL  go back to the dashboard and it shows gamerscore of 57 k  .  So leads me to think even though we choose not to update they will secretly do it anyways....

Well duh. You cheat on live and are surprised that MS detects it? You will be banned for it soon enough.
