I am not sure. Got me stumped lol, might wanna try another method either floppy or usb stick. Or just take a break, maybe it will work it self out tomarrow.

Oh i waited this long to ahold of TS drive i gues i can wait a bi longer thanks allot for help this is a great place for info    I have a floppy around but no floppy disc's i think i ll intsll that tommorow and try first thing thanks again

if it can't open the output file, either the filename isn't DOS compliant, or the drive is not writable, so it can't store the dump.

Are you using onboard sata or PCI card?

What chipset do you have?

Maybe you are using the wrong mtkflash.

hello sorry but im still haveing touble it says unable to read flash  im using a gateway 507GR with intell motherbaord 4 onboard SATA ports any idea light on xbox 360 just blinks

i tried to edit mtkflash but still same resualts  error reading firmware light still just flashes and i tried to hotswap methid samething im stummped   Intel R 82801FB Chipset anyone have any idea

I've been wondering for the longest time now if MtkWinFlash is a feasible method for flashing the Toshiba Samsung:

I understand that the Toshiba Samsung isn't detectable in Windows (untill you do a DOS flash with the 0800 firmware, which defeats the purpose of this whole point), but this utility has an IDE "blind" flashing mode for undetectable drives. It also doesn't appear to support SATA drives, but I'm sure someone with the right know how could modify it?

then you still don't have a dump of your FW and your key. if you flash it without your key, and don't have the key, you can trash your box.
