By the way, you'll also need the corresponding files of a 8507 dump.
Good job! I have only one console, a Falcon with freeBoot. Could anyone help me get hold of the required 8507 files? Thanks Edit: I might be able to get my hand on a pair of Xenon 8507 files. Will they work with a Falcon board?

first you need a new freeboot (or something similar). freeboot isnt compatible with 8507.

I get error 79 with freeboot, tried 8498 and 8955 (for this, i modified the hash and size check) When 8955 not worked, i thinked about a bad virtual fuse, but that not work with 8498 ...
By the way, i have cygnos v2 (i also have a dual xd)

He didn't boot 8955, read it again. Ive built the 8955 image. (Soldering up my cygnos today to test it out). I understand, and have completed the name/hash/size changes to ibuild (Although the size check did stump me for a bit). Did you just leave the files nomni.xexp and nomnifwm.xexp out of the build. They seem to be new as of 8955.

My dash is 7371, logically because i'm working on multiple dev with Xell
damox > No i only used the file in the readme.txt. It's strange that 8498 (the original for what freeboot is) don't work.
I re-test today

I'm not sure, but you might not be able to use freeBoot with a Cygnos firmware > 1.01. If you're using 1.02, try degrading.

Yeah that's why i did after viewing the cygnos forum. In the 1.02 firmware, the jtag is performed by the cygnos, so the smc need to be patched by cygnos tool So i use 1.01 and all is ok
For now, only 8507 work, due to new file added to the nand 89xx.

I'm using freeboot fine on my firmware 1.02 Cygnos v2. You have to make a couple of changes in the python build script when you build the image for the 360 nand but it works absolutely fine with 1.02.

That's good to hear! I'm not much of a python programmer. It would be nice if you could specify what changes you did to the script... Thanks!

Here you go. # original code from freeBOOT build.py is commented out here # print " * Fixing up the hacked SMC code with the target address" # offset_jtag = SMC.find("\xea\x00\xc0\x0f") # assert offset_jtag > 0, "SMC does not include the JTAG hack" # SMC = SMC[:offset_jtag+4] + struct.pack(">I", EXPLOIT_BASE) + SMC[offset_jtag+8:] # new code for Cygnos firmware 1.02 due to the fact that the smc.bin doesn't contain the JTAG hack code # because the Cygnos microcontroller injects the JTAG hack at runtime offset_jtag = SMC.find("\xea\x00\xc0\x0f") if offset_jtag > 0: print " * Fixing up the hacked SMC code with the target address" SMC = SMC[:offset_jtag+4] + struct.pack(">I", EXPLOIT_BASE) + SMC[offset_jtag+8:] else: print " * SMC does not include the JTAG hack"

Edit : -- The log of bincrypt -- crl.bin 09/06/2009 05:50:06 PM 2,47 KB (2 528 bytes) secdata.bin 09/06/2009 05:50:08 PM 1,00 KB (1 024 bytes) Just replaced crl and secdata timestamp by> 01CA2EB5E2A67B00 01CA2EB5E3D7A800 According to fuses.bin, ldv = 4 (FF FF) Profil always appear corrupted (i miss something?) Edit2 : I think it's am/pm problem ^^

Thanks cmonkey, got it working with firmware 1.02 now.
But I'm also trying to create the 8507-based freeBoot image without any success. freeBoot 8507 + new SMC (fixed for new Cygnos firmware) + profile corruption fix would be awsome.
What files, and were in the process, are you swapping for 8507 files?
Thanks again guys!
