When cames to me and hook up to write the original NAND Dump it pop up that I i don't have a Flash controller and cannot du anything. please help me. I understand that it can be possible to scurtcircuit pins 35 - 45 to lose everything in NAND. it is possible? because if it is i will try it.

My gut feeling is that if your HDD usage has already been revoked (IE you were banned and your secdata modified), that this new USB feature won't work either... so you'll still be screwed.  Hopefully I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that once the ability of your console to sign data has been revoked, you will never be able to install Live content, games, or move saves and profiles between other consoles (unless you can recover your secdata).  Plus, supposedly there is going to be a 16GB limit imposed on USB drives, which means you could only install roughly three games at a time.

I guess I stand corrected about HDD usage being reinstated with the latest update!  Sounds like it still "corrupts" profiles and save games, though.

i have 512mb jasper, i read only the raw.bin that secdata requests for 1h dump using the command
nandpro lpt: -r512 raw.bin AE0 600
it read fine no errors
i did a 2nd time and compared = good

but when running findsecdata its telling me to write "-w256 patched secdata039D.bin EB6 1

256/512 value doesn't matter. If You were banned on 14 november You have good oldsecdata.bin, but if You were
banned on 3 november then You could restore only HDD functionality by 9199 update

It doesn't restore full save capability - ie using the hard drive on another Xbox.

I'm getting this message all the time -- "Old secdata.bin not found. Console might be not banned, already patched or secdata.bin overwritten."

I've looked around the net and I'm not sure but if someone gives me a donor nand file that's for the same console as my own, running the same dashboard version and is already patched (or not banned at all) then I should be able to replace sectors 0x4200 to 0x83FF from their file with my own. Whats between them sectors? The encrypted KV file. I would also have to use 360 Flash Tool to patch the pairing and LDV values.

Has anyone ever tested this? I have read some things about using donor nand files, some use the CPU key to check the file is valid but it should still be safe to flash and try and if it doesn't work revert back to my own nand correct?

The issue is I was banned in the last ban wave but have since updated my dashboard to 9199 so I need someone whos got one of the first gen Xbox's running the same dashboard but have all the features unlocked (no profile corruption, trusted content etc).

Quote
1. Open Corrupt image in FlashTool 0.88a
2. Write Down the Max LDV Values And Pairing Data
3. Open the Donor image in FlashTool
4. Patch the LDV and Paring Data with your Values
5. Hexedit your corrupt image and copy sectors between 0x4200 - 0x83FF (KV FILE)
6. Open the donor image in hexedit and paste the data that you copied from ur corrupt nand to 0x4200 - 0x83FF
8. Save the file and open with flashtool to check everything is fine if so flash to ur 360!!! ( Make sure your CPU key is entered into the flashtool to check your flash is ok)

The only reason you need your CPU key from what I can see is for the final check at stage 8.

If this can be done it would be handy for someone to make an application which will take the 2 images and then automatically patch the donor for you.

Can you not extract the Secdata from a working nand and merge it with your broken nand?

Or failing that just upload your donor nand to the box ( I have a donor from a broken box. Not fixable ) And change the drive from the donor box into the bad nand's box so the drive properties are the same?

[FIXED] !  - TO ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION....

those who cannot get this to method to unflag the AP25 failed error, in my case (after trying everything below) was to use OLDER versions of the following;

DO USE                   DONT USE
findsecdata 0.61       findsecdata 0.62
nandpro20d             nandpro20e

after using these tools above i was given a set of bin files that the newer versions, didnt offer? weird! but at least im now unflagged!!! hope info help others... Wink

-----------------------------------

could someone point me in the right direction. Im trying to unflag my xbox which has AP25 challenge fail error.

the console was not connected to LIVE at the time, or after wards. so should be possible to clean right ?

heres what is did, but cant get AP25 fail in XVAL.

I followed an"AP"5 unflag" tutorial "to the letter" but still get an AP25 failed challenge in XVAL Bah!!
During the nand "read and extract" procedure, everything went smoothly. I ended up with about 10 sets of paired of bin files though..? (i read it was recommended to select "the first pair") still no luck ? So i then tried the last pair, same story...ready to give up!

i used the latest tools; (my xbox is an 2007 Elite, Falcon, 16mb nand, dash is 13599)
FindSecDatav0.62
JtagTool3.50
Nandpro20e
notes: dvd drive was disconnected for the nand read and write procedure. only power supply connected , but xbox not power on.

from my log below, which set of bin pairs should i be using to flash back to the nand ?
