Last filetable change: 0x61

For a couple of times it was mentioned not to turn on the console without the dvd drive when trying to do the hdd recover. Why? Need to redump or it messes everything up?

Last filetable change will grow if you booted without dvd drive. The patch won't work then.

Dump again, run findsecdata on new dump with -rc 5 option. Run nandpro pair of commands which refers to secdata.bin file in block 24A in first nand and 283 on second nand.

Thanks for the answer. I'm forwarding it to him now!
Hope he can fix this and let you know.

Boby2pc, could you please help?

I think this is a no go, but I thought I'd try anyways.

Code:
findsecdata v0.61 2009-12-01 by boby2pc

boby2pc,

hi.
He did the wiring and dumped the "new" NAND.
The two new dumps were exact and different from the first pair he did yesterday.

He got this:

Code:
findsecdata v0.62 2009-12-09 by boby2pc
Controller version 1
Last filetable change: 0x61
ECC change: 0x61 Filetbl: 0x00F8 Secdata: 0x00F7 Timestamp: 3B5EBE8F 2009-10-30

ECC change: 0x58 Filetbl: 0x0249 Secdata: 0x0261 Timestamp: 3B379A69 2009-09-23

Checking secdata:
0261 containts not 0 values above offset 1024 or zeros below 1024 (overwritten)

Searching for recommended

Extracting secdata:
secdata00F7.bin
secdata024A.bin

Extracting filetables:
filetable00F8.bin
filetable00F6.bin

Creating patched secdata:
Patchedsecdata00F7.bin
Patchedsecdata024A.bin

Creating patched filetables:

Use:
nandpro.exe lpt: -w16 Patchedsecdata024A.bin 0F7 1
nandpro.exe lpt: -w16 Patchedfiletable00F8By00F6.bin 0F8 1

Press ENTER

EDIT, he just phoned. Same DIRT DISC message. He mentioned the games he has on the HDD, installed prior to the ban wave, are working.

looks ok. Don't know why he failed.

Ban wave started 30-10-2009. He might get caught that day.

I asked him about the "quality" of his backups, but he tried with original games too and the dirt disk message prevents him to install the game on the HDD.
Strange isn't it? The "dirt disc message" is related to the hack? The same games play fine through the DVD drive.
Looking carefully to the "logs" of findsecdata he sent me, both are identical, for different NAND dumps (the ones for yesterday and the newer one). Is this correct?

Sorry, I lost context. "dirt disc message" is not related to restoring old secdata.bin.

Both dumps were ok and he didn't boot without dvd drive.

He said that the only message that appears for him is this one when he tries to install a game to the HDD: "this disc can't be read, maybe dirt. clean with a cloth" (or something like that).

I asked him to use the Patchedsecdata00F7.bin instead of Patchedsecdata024A.bin
Let's see the results.

EDIT:

It worked (thanks God! - two days this guy was hooked to my MSN)!!!
He already installed 2 games!

Thanks for the help!

guys.....
i wasn't able to uncripple my hdd anyhow, so i tried to flash my backup of nand back onto the 360, to try out something else all over again, and now i'm stuck with E79...
i read the NAND without errors, but while writing i got 'error: 300 programming block xxxx', from block 4AA1 to 4DB1.. each time...
tried to flash 3 times, each consuming 14-16 hrs via LPT... so any suggestions on how to get rid of the E79... Huh

Ops!!! It's me again.

Everything was fine with my friend's HDD until he hooked up his console to his network to play on KAI.
Now the HDD is crippled again.
As he played on KAI, his console had internet access. My best guess is when the console connected to the Live Servers, the hack was reversed, as a new/updated secdata.bin was saved to his NAND.

Any clues?

Disable Live.  Every time you reconnect it will corrupt a banned console.

Exactly, disable live (on parental control menu) and don't use test connection anymore (system ... menu).
To rescue nand. Dump again and patch if it's not overwritten.

Hi,

I have uncrippled 5 of my friends 360's so far. All without a prob. 16mb and 256mb models.
Now with this last 360 i cant get it uncrippled. I cant install the game to the HD. I think there is something wrong with the 2005 stamp because the 360 was build in 2007. Findsecdata tells me to delete B35 so i did. It did no good. I manually zero'd the two 2009-11-08's too. Still no good. Then i putted back orig nand and started over with the two 2009-11-08's and leaving the 2005 as is. No good. Now i zero'd them all one by one and after deleting all this 8 secdata's im still having the install prob. The 360 does boot like normal though. What should i do?Huh I had 14 secdata's in orig nand. All other 6 that are not mentioned by findsecdata have timestamp 3B5CA8A9.
