This is only a ripping question as I am aware that you need atleast 1.61 firmware or oneshot boot disk to play them.

Is Xbox Backup Creator 2.9 capable of making proper\usable backups of wave 4 and wave 5 games when used in combination with a MS28 running ixtreme 1.6 0800 firmware?

If it can and i rip the originals myself do you need to correct anything with ABGX after it has finnished ripping?

Or do we need to wait for the next version of XBC for full wave 4&5 ripping support?

xbc is not dependant on "waves", you can run through abgx if you want.

i recently changed my setup to have a benq with 0800 1.6 fw on it to rip games

ripped pgr4 (first orig disc to hand), then thought id stick it through abgx to make sure it was ripping correctly

well abgx patched all the stealth files, so my question is:-

which rip is correct, my own or abgx verified?

In *theory* both, as long as you did your rip correctly. There is more than one possible valid set of stealth data for a given copy of the game; not all pressings of the disc are identical, so assuming the abgx database isn't wrong (which has happened in the past) then the replaced stealth data should be just as valid as yours. It depends whether you have more confidence in your ability to do rips right, or the abgx people's to not make mistakes Wink

Just Backed up L4D2 NTSC-J version (WAVE 5) with ms28 ixtreme 1.6 0800 and xbc 2.9. Then verified with the latest abgx and all data (SS,GAME,PFI,DMI) matched perfectly EXCEPT the video partition. Why?

Something that i noted (for HALO ODST ,LFD2backup and MW2 backup) was at the beginning it takes longer to create the video layer than it use to. But what concerned me really this time with the LFD2 backup was that after the game data was ripped at around %96 and it set read speed back to 5x and was creating the other video layer the percentage stayed at around %96 for afew minutes with the HDD read/write LED going flat chat and then instantly went to %100 and displayed read complete.

I previously did MW2 (WAVE 4), same setup and all was perfect in abgx.

i recently changed my setup to have a benq with 0800 1.6 fw on it to rip games

I too would like to know which is correct either mine or the abgx verified one.

I'd like your input on this especially Redline99.

I dont know, but xbc 2.9 doesn't care about "waves" it creates the iso based on calculations obtained from the PFI and SS.

From that question, I bet you don't have a great understanding of what a "wave" is. Either way, agbx360 does not know the checksum for the wave 5 video, so it outputs invalid (don't recall the exact wording). You just need to remember that wave 5 video checksum is "D80BF8B6" until abgx is updated.
