First things first I'm not going to be one of those cheeky mofo's who just writes "could someone give me a step by step on flashing my 360"

I know its a widely covered topic and despite my only experience of electronics and programming being trying to fix what iv just broken, i fully intend to learn on my own with the information you good people have already provided. saying that I still have some questions which i cannot find the answers to so any help would be greatly appreciated

Flash or chip -

I have a contact in China who can source me both DUO X3 and Aladdin XT+ chips to enable my 360 to play backup games, I know this is different from flashing the drive which sounds infinitely easier.

The problem I have is that iv been told that once the 360 is chipped i can boot it from both the chipped mode and the original mode, I know that after flashing the drive xbox live becomes a problem whether your playing an original game or a copy and chipping would seem to avoid this

Can anyone shed any light on this before I lock myself away for 2 days with a hearty supply of red bull and pizza to learn the ins and out of modding my beloved 360 ?

Cheers

Your contact is drunk or an idiot.
The duo and aladdin chips are for the xbox 1, NOT the 360.

and live is ALWAYS a problem if you use backups, period. the flash is in fact more secure because the chips are mostly outdated or missing stealth entirely.

I do NOT give support by email, PM, ICQ or whatever. Anyone annoying me that way will have his balls removed. With a rusty butterknife. Slowly. And I'll enjoy doing it.
