So, after an entire day of replacing x-clamps, applying and re-applying thermal paste, adjusting tightness on screws, baking, alternate bakes, and even trying with different washer configurations. I can't get this dang dreaded 0020 to disappear.
I didn't have the cash for reflow service or a heat gun, so I attempted the "oven reflow" using this tutorial.http://xbox-experts.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=968
After letting it cool down. I took off all of the insulation, and it turns out I blew a few caps. No big deal, I can replace those easily.
However, the thing that is bothering me is that I put it together with the blown caps and it still reads the 0020 and quickly hits 2 lights with 0012. I assume the overheating is because I didn't apply AS5 and mount the heatsinks. Still that 0020 is there, and it's troublesome.
I figured since the caps were blown I would receive a different error than 0020. Unless, of course, that is the error that would be shown for the caps?
I'm going to replace them soon hopefully and see if that helps at all. 0020 haunts me, even 3 days later. haha
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
