I buy xbox with the rrod on ebay often and fix them with the xclamp trick and resell them.. with this xbox it was already attempted to be fixed (and successfuly). When I tried to do it again my self it goes striaght to the 2 red lights the xbox makes really loud noise (when i plug in the fan the goes crazy for about 5 secs) and then after 5 secs the xbox still shows two red lights but it turns off and will not let u over heat it. If i screw in the screws extremely tight i get three light error but the xbox wont turn on.. all you see is three lights.

Is there a way to fix this?

If so how?

THANKS!

sounds like a thoroughly messed up one to me. and that's exactly why people shouldn't resell xclamp fixed consoles on ebay.. they eventually fail again, and it's not that rare for them to die for good then.

Sounds like a botched x-clamp fix that you got suckered into buying.

This sounds like it was at first overheating and showing that error first, and now just showing you it has a general hardware fault. will normally require a reflow to sort something that bad, so long as you dont have any ripped pads or even cracked chips from over tightening those screws Wink
