I just updated my system with the new August 2009 update.  This system is a newer falcon and never had any overheating/freezing issues since I have it cooled well.   Directly after the update was installed successfully from a cold boot and the system restarted all looked well and the update took.  I was able to verify some of the dash changes to make sure the update was truly successfully.  i.e. - Netflix etc.

About 1-min in, the console now freezes when either in dash or game.  Now most of the time I get rrod when I turn on the system, however sometimes it boots and freezes at the initial 360 logo of after a min or so.

This definitely happened as a result of the update.  I tell you, MS Quality Assurance really sucks as this type of issue just should not happen due to an update....

Do you have specific information (or a link) on what exactly to do in order to get the 2nd LED sequence.  I have not heard of this before.  Thanks

Hold the sync button, then press the eject button.  the first digit of the 4 digit code will flash on the ring of lights.  1 led =1, 2led=2, 3led=3, 4led=0.  Press eject again and the second digit appears.  press again for the third.  i think you ge the idea.  Google the error code to find out what it is.

Do not google the error code to find out what it is, a majority of those are wrong, or were taken from a thread on here but misinterpretted. Post the sequence back here.

At the 3ROD, I hold the sync and press eject and get the following sequence:

ALL(All 4 Flash)...
1 (Top Left)...
1 (Top Left)...
ALL(All 4 Flash))..

3 (Then back to normal 3ROD sequence)

So this 0-1-1-0 by what was instructed...According to "http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=484726", It says 0110 See Error E20

E20 says: likely a Ram error, this can be caused by a cold or bridged solder joint on one of the Ram chips.

Intersect is this forum explaination correct?  ...and what can I do for this error in your opinion? Hoping someone can repair this.  Thanks

Surprisingly, it is a memory related error.

When I have ever had a system do this cooling that GPU was the real issue. But, I have never had that code pop up for me. Does Intersect have any ideas on a solution?

I also agree with a warranty repair, that would be my first step.

Just curious do you run your xbox laying down or standing up? And you mentioned you cooled it well, would you elaborate on that subject for us?
