XBox 360 From Dubai Compatible with Games in India

Hi!!

I would like to know that if I buy an Xbox 360 from Dubai, will I be able to play games that I buy from India.

Dubai and India have different DVD region codes or same? Also Does PAL also have different formats according to different countries/regions (specifically for Dubai and India) ? Would I face any issues because of it?

I am primarily concerned about playing games. It's ok if the Xbox is not able to play Movies bought from India.

Please reply ASAP (Also if anyone has tried the same, their help is appreciated)

Dubai is pal

i don't know which region code India games have, but PAL will work (it'll say on the cover of the 360 game)

Well with crappy internet connection in india it wud b a nightmare for u to play on live and another thing i think this question would be better suited on m$ official xbox forums tgey would be able to help you.

 I am new here , but i am too from Australia and would like purchase XBOX 360 for my cousin's son .
I wrote to Microsoft customer service and below is the reply for the same.

I understand that you want to purchase a console from Australia & gift it to your cousin who lives in India well I would like to inform you that this consoles are region specific & doesn't come with international warranty & moreover the games which are available in India will not work with this console because of the regional differences so my suggestion will be not to buy a console from Australia & use in India. "

Why not just buy a console from india for use in india.....surely that would solve all of your problems, and shouldn't be that hard to do now that the internet exists.
