Holy smokes. I haven't logged into here for years. The real scene for an end user like myself has been dead for a long time degenerating only to DVD hacks and RROD fixes. A far cry from the glory days.
I hope everyone relaises the magnitude of this. The scene will once again flurish, suprises and interesting discussions will once again be alive. I cannot wait to see what can be done on a 3 core 512meg TV ready appliance. The journey begins!

I think Tmbinc has made this pretty clear that if you updated, it will not work, and the reason why.

Yeah i'll have to agree, since the update likely bruns an eFuse(In fuseline 2) to prevent 2BL downgrade there is presumably no way to run the blacklisted updates anymore even if the pairing and associated hashes are correct. So basically updating to 2.0.8498.0 is a one way trip for now anyway.

Ah, sorry i missed that part...
Well i don't see why not, it's not like the keyvault is signed or anything(yet anyway, that i know of), since you have the CPU-key i think it should work just fine as before.

I would have to agree, I just wonder how long it's going to take until retail 360s come with the 8498 kernel. That will be a sad day (assuming all goes as planned with this big release :x). |

What he did saved alot of people from updating, I still don't understand why people are trying to keep this kind of thing under wraps, people are treating it like this will kill all the kittens in the world. Honestly settle down with the bashing. |
