Hi, I've made a schematic of DVD adapter and DVD extractor :
http://rapidshare.com/files/216898989/schematic.pdf

I want  to ask :

1. Is that true that PIN 4 of the DVD power connector doesn't need to be hooked to 3.3 V ?
2. Please check my PIN 3 schematic, is that right? a 3.3V and GND selector using DPDT switch
3. How can I hook up LED as a Tray Eject Indicator
4. How can I hook up LED to DVD extractor module as power on indicator
5. How can I hook up LED as an indicator when Tx point is being connected to the DVD.

Anyone?

Thanks

1. for some drives this is true. i know the TS-H943 does not require 3.3V

2 can't download the pdf from your link but all you need is a switch between pin 3 and ground. the drive has an internal pullup resistor so connecting to 3.3v is not needed to eject the drive

3. you can have a tray closed led by connecting an led and apropriate resistor between 5V and pin 3 on the power connector

4. hook an led with apropriate resistor between 5V and ground on your extractor.

5. haven't seen the circuit so can't tell you

google 'led resistor calculator' for proper resistor values to use with led's

you can pretty easily design one yourself. just lookup the max3232 datasheet. there is a schematic for it in there. and google xbox 360 pinout to get the pinout for the dvd drive. (or you can check out my tutorial which has a lot of the info you need)
you also need a 3.3V regulator
