Hacket a WD2500BEKT manufactured 5 dec. 2010. I was first using HDDHackr v1.25 from xbox-scene. Had the "bad/wrong model number offset!" error. Then I found this thread and tried HDDHackr v1.25 Build 20101114 and it worked like a charm. I am now a broud owner of a 250GB Xbox HDD for 46€! Thank you for this nice software!

HELP!  After I say YES to "Do you want to flash XBOX360 compatible firmware?'  I get..

Check Status 0x50 - Error!

Western Digital Vendor Intro failed on port 0xFF00
Make sure you have connected Western Digital Scorpio series Hard Drive.
If you choose to resend the command you should turn the drive off and on after you pressed "Yes".
Do you want to resend the command until the drive responds (Y/N)?

So I hit "Y" then I get
"Press ESC key to abort!"
Status: 0x51

Can't send vendor specific WD flash intro to HDD!
C:\>

I have a WD2500BEVT HD made in 8/17/10.  Also, when I type "hddhackr" and hit enter, it takes like 15-20 minutes for the comp to list all the drives.  It recognizes the WD right away but I can't choose it until the whole process is done but then it tells me that there is an error when I try to flash it.  Please help me!

Another thing, when I made the boot usb drive, the tutorial I was reading said to make it a "FAT" drive but I was only given the choice to make it a "FAT32" drive, is that a problem??  Thank you.

I'm having some issues and was hoping someone could help me work out what I'm doing wrong. I'm following the guide here:
http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/console-guides/xbox-360-guides/3152-xbox-360-how-hack-250gb-sata-drive-work-xbox-360-xbox-360-slim.html

I'm attempting to flash a WD Scorpio Blue: WD2500BEVT-22A23T0
The manufacture date is 18 NOV 2010

When I try to run HDDHackr from the USB stick I get the errors

Check DRQ - Error!
No ATA identify possible
No ATA devices present

My computer can see the drive, even format it if I want to, but HDDhackr won't recognize it.

I've got a P4S800D-E Asus Mobo, and I believe I've set all the possible SATA settings correctly. The manual (with available BIOS settings) is here:
http://joule.bu.edu/~hazen/LinuxCluster/e1381_p4s800d-e_deluxe.pdf

There are two SATA-related settings and I've tried every possible combination of turning them on and off and switching between the four SATA ports on my Mobo. So far no luck. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Does my Bios/MB just not support this kind of thing? Do I just need to wait for a newer version of HDDHackr?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, i can personally confirm it WILL WORK with the WD VELOCIRAPTOR series.

Because i Just got done stuffing one in my Xbox 360 Slim.

Shows up as an official MS 120gb drive. except about an average of 20% faster across the board so far. sometimes faster.

it can be done. i have the walkthrough mostly finished. the basics are you need to solder in a wire to the existing factory SATA power connector (pins 13 14 & 15), tap that into a 12v source (DVD drive works) and then reassemble using only 1/2 the rubber boot.

cooling mods required. I'm using a 60x60x25 maglev fan from sunon on a modified HDD Bay cover. works very well.

THANKS MODFREAKZ. fo realz.

I have a question. Is it possible to create 2 X 250Gb partitions on a 500Gb drive for the expandable Xbox 360 slim slot and be recognised in the memory of the xbox simultaneously.
