Even if you use a 320GB hard drive, only 120GB is going to be usable. You are just wasting your money. also, Microsoft is not planning to release any new hard drives bigger than 120GB.
I bet you feel like a massive faggot now, LOL.

I sure hope this will feature support for the 320gb HDDSS.BIN once a copy is in the wild. If it maintains support for Velociraptors then this slim of mine just because extra awesome. All i gotta find is a newer VR, flash, and go. i'm already setup with the required 12v mod into the sata connector and additional cooling Cheesy

no issues playing on XBL after doing this?

(I do not believe this is a problem with the rules, I am not talking about modding it, just want to use a third party HD I have already.)

Okay -- just received my wd2500beKt

Due to an inability to verify my source locations during copies, I made a mistake the first time around.

Works wonderfully.

Thank you,

Hey,
i'm new here and was just wondering if a 320Gb 2.5" drive would work in the 360 phat if I flashed it with 250Gb sector?
As some 320GB drives are coming out soon will I be able to use a sector from one of those to work on my 2.5" drive so I can use all 320Gb not just 250GB of it. I was planning on using the drive to save game iso's to when TeamFSD release RXE or is there a better way of backing up your games to play on the xbox?
Is the jasper elite console the best to get for modding, I need an hdmi port or do you guys have better options?
Thanks,
Connor

Just wanted to post that v1.30 WILL hack a 320GB hard drive using the 320 HDDSS.bin security sector.

So you won't have to wait for an update. Just get the security sector and start hacking.

Does HDDHackr have issues with WD2500BEVT - 80A23T0 (11 JUL 2011 date)?

I keep getting Sector 16 Failed. :\ Kind of annoying as I've wasted hours trying to get it to work, and I know it's not the computer as I've flashed 3 other drives before on it. I even tried flashing on another computer and got the same error (Sector 16 failed).

Tried applying an UNDO.BIN, which apparently was for WD2500BEVT - 00A23T0, it said it failed to write the firmware but now the harddrive has a 0 for the LBA Size, and is blank for the name and serial. It still appears in hddhackr, but again, when I try to flash it, it gives a Sector 16 failed error.

Would love some help :\

Hey guys, I hate even posting this but I've tried to find a solution.  I run an MMA site so I understand the "stupid newbie questions" when a simple search will usually find the answer.  Well, I've searched and I'm failing miserably.  I'm clearly not a pro at this stuff but don't think I'm an idiot either, well, I didn't until tonight.   I had a phat xbox that I modded a while back, it never got banned as I kept up with everything but it got a red ring, did one of the fixes for the red ring and got another few months out of it but it's done now.  So, I picked up a new slim arcade yesterday, took out the 20 gig from the fat and got it working in the slim.  Found this tool and decided to try it out so I picked up a WD3200BPVT today.  I had seen the HHDSS file for the 320's and since it was only 10 more than the 250, I have it a try.  But I can't find a complete list of which HD's work or don't work.  Maybe mine is too new and something's changed, maybe I'm just not thinking straight but either way, I'm not getting this to work.

I started doing it with a laptop but I could never get the HDDHackr to run, just a blinking cursor.  Then tried on the desktop, got it to run there, selected the HD, picked (F) from what I recall but got the LBA issue that I've tried to read about.  I also tried downloading MMHD but could never get it to boot to it so I couldn't try to remove or "clear" the LBA issue that I'm having.

Is there a better or newer tool to remove the LBA issue if I'm even saying that right.  From what I've gathered, when I booted to the new WD, the bios "might" add some info to the HD and that info is kinda screwing me now, does that sound correct???

Also, what other info would you guys need to help me work though this, I can snap some pictures of the screen of what it's doing if that helps.  I guess I would like to start with, is this drive valid or will it become valid down the road or is it just "stupid operator" issues right now???

Maybe some good sleep will help some of this but open for all pointers guys.

Thanks
Brian

I'm having a problem with two hacked hdd's. The other one is WD2500BEVS and the other WD2500BEVT. Both flashed just fine, and got recognized fine by the box. Now, the problem: I'm having dirty disc errors with COD:BO and Forza 4 even if the games are installed on the hdd. I've had a good long fight with this issue, and it looks like it has come down to these hdd's. The other night I decided to plug in an old 120gb M$ original hdd from a RROD box as I had run out of ideas, and...what do you know, Forza 4 has been running for 2 days now. To sum it up: Flashed the WD2500BEVS, formatted it in my PHAT Xbox, started black ops, installed it to the hdd, and after a couple of rounds "Dirty disc, please rub it with a soft cloth etc. and it plunges me back to the dash. The same thing with the WD2500BEVT that i gutted out from a dead laptop. Then I bought another used PHAT Xbox thinking the other one might be the cause of all problems since it has been fixed from RRODing twice. Well, nope. The same thing happens with this "new" box, too. In Forza 4 I could almost get to level 10 before it dirty disc'd me out of it. Sometimes it does that after running a single race and sometimes I get a little further. Anyway, teh problem disappeared when going back to the 120gb hdd. So, do you think that there's something I've done wrong or that there's something wrong with these drives or is it just so that the phat xboxes don't like to work out with a 250gb hdd? I'm all out of ideas and about to get an ms original 250gb hdd to see if it works ok with my consoles.

PS. I wonder how many phat xbox owners having dirty disc errors have been told that their xbox is about to rrod when in fact the problem has been the el cheapo 250gb hdd they bought from ebay which has a hacked WD drive inside... Sad

Sounds more like you simply have bad drives there. I've used a modified WD drive for years with no issues whatsoever.

Hmm, the BEVT drive is dated 10 FEB 2011 and I bought it new so I dunno.. the BEVS drive is 2008 something so that one could possibly be faulty. What would be the best way to check for errors? Should I flash them back to original state first?

EDIT:  I undo'ed the BEVS drive back to original state and ran WD diagnostics app on it (Data Lifeguard Diagnostics) a couple of times in extended mode and it came out clean. No errors.

EDIT 2: Looks like the old hitachi dvd drives aren't too good at reading my forza 4 game disc. The other xbox won't even install the game anymore  Cheesy Even tweaking the lasers dvd pot doesn't seem to help. SO, the hdd's are fine and the hack obviously works like a charm.
