edited out feel bad about this topic being ruined, we should all be very appreciative with this kind of support, and the support hddhackr has given us over the last few years!

Which drive model does the original 250GB HDD case contain?

Does the 360 have a SATA interface with 1.5GB/s or with 3.0GB/s?

Is there any advantage of buying a more expensive 250GB (WD2500BEVE / WD2500BJKT / WD2500BEVS / WD2500BEKT) model over a cheaper (WD2500BEVT) one?

Hey guys..

I'm having an issue here. I have two (2) WD1200BEVT drives I'm trying to format to replace the two 20GB Microsoft OEM POS drives that went belly-up. I downloaded hddhackr 1.22, made the bootable USB stick with Bootable USB Drive Creator Tool v1.0. I checked the tick box for Create Bootable Drive in that program, went to the browse button, selected the MS-DOS files that were downloaded with the program and formatted. Then I copied the hddhackr.exe and the hddss.bin file I got from xbins onto the stick. Iam running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Once I boot up into MS-DOS mode with the stick, everything goes good until I get to the flashing point. I get the infamous Fujitsu/WD warning sector 16 warning, select to flash anyway, and get greeted with an indefinite, blinking underscore cursor (i.e. "_").

What the hell am I doing wrong? I've spent 4 hours searching, and I'm tired. So I apologize if this is something simple. If that's the case, copy a link and I'll disappear.

Try hddhackr 0.91. And next time post in tech support 360. Misplacing a post again will result in loosing your precious nuts. Arakon has a anger problem  Grin

Thanks for the response (and the re-direct). Don't look now, though. Because this thread is LITTERED with support questions sprinkled across 9 pages. Hope those nut pruning shears are sharp, because Arakon's got his work "cut out" for him.

You shouldn't be posting these files at all unless you want to get banned.
