Thanks, Just firing up win hex now...

Probably beyond the scope of this forum, but WinHex cannot find the text string which matches the drive model I am testing.  Not sure if WinHex is looking at all sectors including the hidden ones?

From what I understand of HDDHACKR it not only reads info from the disc, it also writes the XB0X 360 drive model etc to the drive firmware, so it passes the hardware check.

I would still like to see if HDDHACKR can make a bin file to see if the information is located in the same area.

Thanks for your help.

Peter.

Hello,

Sata Controller: VIA 6421A
HardDisk: WD2500BEVT (Scorpio blue 250gb)
HDDHackr 1.20  same error with 1.11 and older versions
120gb HDDSS.bin

all works perfectly....it finds the disk, i can choose the disk, it makes undo.bin........but i get an error =(

Information in ini File hddss.bin does not match the drive's firmware info. Do you want to flash XBOX360 compatible firmware (Y/N)? Y <-- i say Y = yes

Sectors 16-22 rwritten successfully!
Preparing [............................]100%
Partition 0/2/3 created successfully!
Bad/Wrong Modelnumber Offset!

after this it shows me the normal prompt A:\_

if i restart my rig and detect again, there is the normal wd2500bevt disk present....

so what can i do?!?!?

Thanx and sry for my bad english! ^^

I was gonna hack the same WD 2500BEVT disk (09/2009)  Cry

Any chance we'll see a new version of hddhackr that's compatible or is there anything we can do to make it work?

Just to add I have used v1.22 last night to dump the new 360 250GB drive and then flash the hddss.bin file to a WD Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVT and it works a treat.

Many thanks for this great APP

Only thing we need now is a new version of Xplorer 360 so we can see the data in the drives partitions, or maybe the exsisting one can be hex edited like we had to when the 120 gig drives came out.

May my father rest in peace, you are deeply missed.

Thanks for info that bevt & 250gb ss.bin works.

I work at media markt store and i could dump ss.bin from any hdd via xplorer and m$ transfer kit, but super-elite bundle isnt available here in Poland, only standard one elite+forza+120gig Sad

Stop posting that kind of "bull$#!t" here!  Angry

This is a technical tread and it starts getting way off topic, remember?
