Hi everyone, I'm new here, so excuse me if I sound like a dumbass. Lol. I'm an electronics tech, not a programming type. Anyway I have a modded dvd and a console I got seperately, can I make them work together? I just need to know what the process is and I can research it from there instead of asking stupid questions. I have seen all types of files to download, and I have no idea which ones do what.  Undecided. Any help with this will be sooooo appreciated....thanks! -Lisa

Do you have the firmware dump or drivekey from the console? If not, then no.

Whats a drivekey? How can I get it from the console? I repair these things all day, but still havent learned about modding/hacking them. Crazy feeling dumb and smart at the same time. Any help would be great.

the drive and MB are "married" by a key. you can't get it from the console at all, only from the drive itself.

A) If the console came to you with itīs original DVD-drive, you have to dumb the drive firmware from it, and then patch the dumbs DVD-key to a drive compatible iXtreme firmware and then flash the patched firmware to a new drive (and maybe spoof the firmware, if the drives are not same type).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B) If console camed to you with "no DVD-drive or no DVD-key" you are out of luck, console without proper DVD-key will work only CD/DVD/Arcade-player as Arakon and .ISO allready mentioned.

girl i've been up and down this street before two years back and still get stuck look to this forum for help and recieve some help and more "$#!t talk".  Any ways you made a wrong move by separating the original drive from the original 360 box before extracting the key.  Not exactly sure how to do it successfully yet.   Good luck though it feels more comforting to know that there are other women on here.  If you really want it you'll get it on the second time around if not the first.

GOOD LUCK
