 Hey guys im new to this forum and xbox mods.  Just tired of the kids scratching up the disks and rendering them useless.  So needless to say i have been running into issues and cannot get this to work correctly.
Pioneer DVR110DBK latest FW
over 30 gig of avaliable space
using wall-E dvd 7.3 Gb
wxripper 1.2.0.4.2
abgx360
xdvdmulleter 10.2

I start wxripper and while the disk is spinning for wall-e i get my magic number --> Found magic number : 325888
I then load the following ltf settings file:
C19408
D1072
D109344
C1783936
J325888
C1783936
J0

I then stop the disk in the application and then remove the magnet and wall-e disk then replace with in this instance Army of Two.  Then i spin up the drive and dump:
12:41:34 PM -> Start
12:52:05 PM -> Done

Completes successfully.  my Iso get created and its 7gb in size 7,010,622 to be xact.  I am also able to view the file in wx360 just fine.  I then load up agbx360 and use the defaults and load the iso file in that app.  I launch it and see the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\XPAdmin\Desktop\armyoftwo\armyoftwo.dvd needs to be cr
eated
C:\Documents and Settings\XPAdmin\Desktop\armyoftwo\armyoftwo.dvd was created

ERROR: ISO filesize is too small, Game CRC Check aborted!
Stealth now matches the verified ini but an error occurred while checking the Game CRC

My question is can this game now be successfully burned or is output not normal.  I then try to use xdvdmulleter to check the file.  I am able to load the iso image, but get an error "Image appears to be a peculiar size".  I click ok then then go to CRC checking, and get the same above error.   I never get the check box iXtreme compatible checked off.  Is there a step i missed or am i doing this wrong, should I attempt to burn a coaster or not.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
Mr. Noob

If you can afford to spend ~35-40 bucks, you should consider getting a Kreon drive.  It's a whole lot simpler.

Pop in the original and rip.  None of that in-between stuff.

Know where to get one??? Looked on Amazon and Ebay and no one is selling.  I didn't see like buy/sell on this forum.  Also do i have to flash FW to that drive as well?  I have flashed my samsung drive in my 360, I hope successfully, but not sure as i haven't been able to successfully rip my games to test.

Keep trying, some discs are just bad at the layerbreak area. Atleast I have seen a high failure rate there. Had one batch of Memorex give 4 discs in a row then the same iso worked on disc number 5.

what about the actual errors in abgx360?  u think i need to find a larger DVD?  I just found Golden Compass and its right at 8Gb 7.95 going to try that.  i guess i see all these vids on how easy it suppose to be, but trial and error i guess is the best way....  that error in abgx360:
Warning: This ISO is short 394004480 bytes! Part of the game data is missing!

is distressing and i think is causing the problem.  And also the error:
"Image appears to be a peculiar size"

concerns me as well.  well I will update with my progress.  Thanks and if any one has any additional input please don't hesitate to do so ...

You'll have the best consistent luck burning on Verbatims that say 'Made in Singapore' on the label.  The 20 pack on Newegg.com is only 23.99 last I looked.

Also, it looks like eBay killed all auctions for drives labeled "Kreon".  Just search for one of the model numbers directly: sh-d162d, etc.  Flashing is really simple, all the instructions and software required come with the Kreon firmware.  You can get it from xbins.

---

One problem with using the method you are, and using mulleter or ABGX to fix the images, is that you're not ripping the stealth data yourself.  You're relying on others who have ripped it.  Arguably, your disc may have different data than what is stored on the server, or if the game you're ripping isn't popular enough, it may not have info for it at all.

neonpolaris what would be your suggestion to rip and stealth them myself?  Should i go ahead and pay the 30 bucks for the Kreon drive, how at that point would i stealth it. I have downloded xbox backup creator 2.8 will that stealth them as well or just back them up?  Just looking for the best way to back up my own stuff and not get banned on live.  All your help has been useful.  Thanks again

OK  whats the best way to do this..... im now having trouble ripping shaun white.  wxripper is giving me the cyclic error again...  I Change all the C's to D's and it makes the .iso, but the file is unuseable in the 2 apps i have to stealth patch.  Does any one have like max options or numbers that I can put into the .ltf file to get me passed this? Or is there a bigger dvd than 7.95 gb?

With a Kreon drive and Xbox Backup Creator, it reads all of the stealth information off of your disc, automatically.  Pop in the disc, select 'Complete Backup', click start, wait 10-12 minutes, and you have your ISO, all stealthed and ready to burn.

It's great software, written by Redline99 himself.  There's also Schtrom360Xtract, which will accomplish the same thing.  Some people like one over the other.  Matter of preference, really.

---

I'm sorry that I can't be of more help with what you're going through right now, as that method was outdated by the time I got into all of this, and is largely unsupported now.

Yes, both programs require a Kreon drive to do a proper rip.

As far as who to buy from on eBay, follow the same as you would any auction.  Feedback rating and score mixed with price.

xbc can burn using 3 methods, internal routines or using nero com or shelling to imgburn.

you can also rip with a spare xbox dvd drive, sammy ts-h943a or benq and soon with c4eva's iXtreme variants version 1.6 with 0800 mode.

ok got the drive in and flashed it with the kreon FW successfully.  I then put in vegas and HAWX in and it creates the .iso and .dvd files (i used xBC2.8 ), i run the abgx360 app against the ISO's and it says that its not Stealth, xdvd mulleter also craps out on the stealth check.  What options do i need to use in XBC 2.8 to make sure it is stealthed, Or am i going through an extra step using the xbgx360/xdvd mulleter stuff?  Also if using xbc 2.8, can i just save the iso image and keep it in case my copy gets damaged?  I am trying to use the s360x app to see if i have the same problem, but XBC 2.8 just looks and feels more user friendly.  Thanks in advance.....  Also one more question...  can you backup a backup using the above method?

Make sure that you have the newest ABGX360. (1.0.1 as of time of writing)
HAWX might bomb with an old version, but vegas shouldn't I don't think.  Which check specifically is failing?  Can you verify that the Kreon firmware update worked correctly and that you used the right one?

Generally, backups of backups is not something you should be talking about here.  Why backup from backup, or keep the huge iso files around?  That's why you use backups, so that your originals don't get messed up.  If your backups get damaged, re-rip your originals.

Thanks guys for the help.  It was failing on the verification.  I went ahead and took my xbox apart and loaded the latest FW on my sammy drive ver 1.51.  Then I went ahead and downloaded the 1.0.1 ver of abgx360 and turned on level 3 auto fix threshold and it worked after that.  for hawx at least.  Im going to try to burn hawx and see if the backup will work.  For Vegas, I may have a bad rip of it..  Will retry the rip and see if it works.  Thanks guys.  Also ADMINS.  Is it ok to keep posting to this same thread although the subject keeps changing?  Just don't want to open up all these different threads.  If I need to let me know....  Thanks
