Background info:

I attempted to install Cygnos360 on my vulnerable 4532 Xbox360 that I had the cpu and keyvault dumped using dump32 (dump32 does not dump ecc in nand dump image).  The install failed and ended up erasing and permanately damaging my onboard nand.  The Cygnos360 did not get damaged and I am able to read, erase, and write to the Cygnos360 nand.

What I am attempting to do...

1. Dump the nand from my working Xbox360
2. Use the Degraded tool with the working dump to generate a v1888 image using the cpu key from broken xbox360
3. Insert the keyvault from my broken Xbox360 into the v1888 image using Flash Tool
4. Patch the headers of the v1888 with pairing and ldv from broken Xbox360 using Flash Tool
5. Write v1888 image to Cygnos360
6. Install Cygnos360 into broken Xbox360
7. Boot
8. Upgrade back to 4532

Steps Completed

Above steps 1-4 have been completed

Issues that I need help with

I am stuck on step 5, writing the v1888 image to Cygnos360 nand.

I have followed the Cygnos360 instructions to read the empty nand in order to get the bad block information.  I had used the Cygnos360 utility to patch my image with the bad block information.

Incidentally it looks like the Cygnos360 nand did not have any bad blocks.

This is what is happening...

I cannot write my v1888 image to the nand on the Cygnos360.  I get a write error everytime if I use verify on.  When I turn verify off then I can write the image but when read back it fails crc check against original image.

This is not a Infectus issue..  I am using 1.5 inch wires and have shielded Ifectus using blastic bag/foil method..

If I take a blank image, or a image with 010101 it works fine without error so I know I can write without error.

I think that the problem lies with the ecc data from the original nand dump from my working Xbox360.

Since it seems that there are no bad blocks on the Cygnos360 nand can I remove the ecc data from my v1888 image and then write it out?

Would I zero bytes 513-528 from each block?

Thank you,
Rob.
