Screwed mobo...any ideas

Ok, so I get handed a Falcon from someone who "fixes RRoD" (I can't say yet that I know it was him who did it...or it was the actual owner). A million things wrong with the RRoD repair itself, before stripping it bear I try to power on - nothing at all (PSU light doesn't change from orange...fans don't spin, eject and power button do nothing and no red or green lights at all...no sign of life).

Strip it bear, try the same thing...and still the same (yes this PSU works...tested it before and after) - probed the PSU plug on the mobo it's getting it's standby 5v (and maybe this is normal for a Falcon...I never probed the plug while it was off) but on certain pins it's getting 0.10v and 0.63v ??

So I looked for any sign of anything wrong (I am very good at finding problems etc)...nothing - I havn't talked to the guy who handed it to me but i'm betting it was his 3RL repair, and i'm also betting with his method he killed it...anyone got any ideas or places to probe ?

(no point trying to even repair it if I can't get a hint of life)

I tried anyway (my process is secret) but still exactly the same...apparently before it was sent to me it was E74 but when I got it no signs of life at all.

no prob the world is built on secrets When I say process is secret...well it may sound selfish but really if bill gates gave away the source code to Windows do you think he would still be making (as much) money ?

I don't pay a fee granted but I try and help out my best (it's my way of giving something back I guess ?) and you can't say i'm not on here ever couple of hours .

I guess i'll keep my thoughts to myself - also for what it's worth ... this RRoD repair was for a friend who I was not charging a cent
