Flashed hundreds of MS28 drives but using mktflash which I don't have a problem with. However was wondering would it be better these days to use dosflash instead, I presume with dosflash I don't need to do the 10 second trick to flash an ms28?

yeah your opinion is that to reduce heat everyone should do a 12v fan mod >_>
Dosflash32 click click done. (press YES on the MTK intro, then turn off/on) after that it can be read and written easily
... MTK flash is old and obsolete

I have a ms28 and tried using jungle flasher but everytime i turn my xbox on when its connected to my pc through sata it FREEZES. I flashed a couple benq's. So i dont understand y the samsung freezes my pc.
Then i tried iprep v008.8, made a usb boot fine but when i go into dos mode, im doin the steps but doesn't show my ms28 drive on my sata card. Am i missing somethin? I have the via 6421.
I flashed samsungs and benq's before. but im tryin to update to 1.51.
