Just want to know are the Motherboard Mount Points / screw holes on a Japer the same as on a Falcon motherboard. Would like to know this because i'm currently doing a 360 pc case but don't have a jasper yet so thats why i'm asking here.

If the Motherboard Mount Points / screw holes on a Japer are the same then i can just use an old falcon as a guide and then when i get the jasper i can just slot it in.

So Are they the same for both mount screw position and size?

There is a IR receiver pinout?

I would like to put one of this in a pc motherboard IR connector, that all pc boards comes with.

Are you trying to desolder the IR reciever from the X360 mobo to a PC?

doubt your PC have a port for it.
Why can't you just buy a USB one? They're not that expensive on ebay

Almost all motherboards have IR connector, but almost nobody sells the add on.

Maybe I will buy an IR and remote control.

After all, all i want is to use the pc with a remote control.

I thinks that the ir usb are not compatible with remote controls, at least not in an easy way.

Not true at all.

If you want to use a PC remote, just buy a USB one, this way, it is alot easier.
Also, use your common sense. IF you were to solder a IrDA port on your motherboard, it would likly mean that you have to point the remove at the back of your PC each time.
Not a good idea.

I have 4 motherboards at home, asus, msi, all have the irda port, at least in the manual. There is a pinout also.

Time before, i made this, but the onboard irda was not so compatible at all (just add some transistor, some ir leds, and you can connect that to any irda motherboard port)

Its just for my media center pc in 360 case project.

I was thinking to use the frontal IR plastic or "eye", that is in the 360 case.

IŽll go for an usb solution by now...
