I need to change key on samsung ms25 or ms28

I retrieved the key from a toasted samsung pc board and need to inject it to another samsung drive.
I have everything needed (iprep etc) I just want to change the key not change original fw if possible.
Any help would be appreciated,

well you need to dump the fw with dosflash/mtkflash/iprep then use fwtoolbox to add your key then flash,or use 360 drive switcher its so easy

I'm not sure if the firmware isn't corrupt on the old board. I would like to just change the key in the existing fw of the new drive. I've already screwed up one board by hacking,changing the key and reflashing. The fw on that board has the correct key,opens,closes,tries to read and then stops with "open tray" message on dashboard and the laser at the opposite end of where it should be.If I can bring that board back to original, I might be able to start fresh with it. I saved the original fw from it but when I try loading it to iprep I get a firmware error.In the mean time I would like to just inject the correct key into the new drive if thats possible.

it's not. you can only flash the entire firmware with samsungs.

Figured it out.Flashed new board with bad board fw. Worked for me.

course it did,same fw just with the right key, the old board wasnt corrupt then?
why did you flash it with the old fw and not upgrade to the new ixtreme 1.5
