Hi All
Ill keep this short and sweet...
Got a 360... had it quite a while now...
Today i grabbed and burnt call of duty 5...
I have not played on my 360 much lately due to work commitments...
I put call of duty 5 in the drive and proceeded to play it...
The game informed me that i'd need to update my console in order to play the game (system update) ...
I was on the screen where it asks if you want to install the update or not .... the telephone rung... so i took the call.... in the mean time (unknown to me) my cousin took out call of duty and put in another game... he just ejected the disk and put another game in (a much older game) ... i didnt know this... when i came bk to the console i hit yes apply update (thinking cod 5 was still in)
It went through the notion of applying the update (must of been installing an older update over the newer dash that was already on the console) - yes before you say this isnt possible well IT MUST BE... it finished the update and the console powered off as normal... then when it came back on it froze on the 360 logo... i turned it off and turned it on again and this time it went to the dashboard... but froze...
ive powered off and on several times since then and it either freezes on the boot logo or goes to dash and locks up instantly...
i can still press eject but the dash still says open tray as its frozen.... i can press synch also...
i have tried holding synch button while booting up to see if it clear any crud / old / dodgy updates - DOESNT WORK
so when i turn on it either locks up on logo or on first page of dash
is there anything i can do? short anything on the board or do anything at all to get it working?

i have no hdd connected (nor have i ever had)
