Hi to all,

I cannot manage to make hddhackr 0.91 tool inject my 120g hddss.bin into my WDC WD1200BEVS-22UST0.

It always reports as it worked (uploaded flash to drive, now turn off your computer), but after I send the cmd again (after reboot) to verify: I always get different figures (serial, model and bios).

The -u cmd is working right, but -f command doesn't seem to work right.

Did anyone succeed in using hddhackr with 22UST0 models?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've done it fine with an UST0 model.

I hv tried it again on another computer (5th) and this time it worked.

What seemed wrong on the other computers is the msg from hddhackr showing it had to switch to legacy mode to look for a sata device, and after you hv selected the one it found (number 1 in this case), it would do is job as "normal".

On the last computer, it didn't complain about legacy mode and detected the hdd by itself.

Thanks for your help.

I hope this will help anyone as I hv never seen anyone talking about that "legacy auto mode + select device" from hddhackr before.

Hddhacker is very 'picky' as far as SATA chipsets go (not a criticism, just an observation - it still is an amazing piece of software). I works flawlessly on some chipsets and on others it refuses to work, like truedream described. For example, I was unable to flash hdss.bin on a GA-P35-DS3 motherboard (INTEL ICH8) but it worked on exterenal sata card (VIA6421)
