Author Topic: Hitachi Drives Clicks When I put in backups  (Read 1250 times)

So i made some backups and flashed my hitachi, it passed and everything but the problem is when i put in the game it tries to read for about 30 secs but then it clicksand then goes to "unplayable disc". So my question is do I need a new hitachi drive, new laser, is it my media, my burner, What is it??? nay help?

it plays retails fine, so would it still be my laser???

It wouldnt happen to be the hitachi 0047dj would it?. I had the exact same problem with that drive. & nothing would fix it. Switched to a Samsung MS25 I got from ebay now its fine. Funny you should mention the clicking noise. I couldnt find anyone with the same problem when it happened to me. Am i right in thinking its just the 1 click.. right before "unplayable disc"?

i would say its not your drive. Its your backups. What media are you using and how are you burning them?
