nForce 750i, can't flash samsung

Well I have flashed countless 360's with my old motherboard (Intel ICH7 sata controller), but I recently upgraded to a Nvidia based motherboard (MSI P7N SLI platinum), it has the nForce 750i chipset

I had a hex edited mtkflash for my ICH7 and it worked fine, I re-edited mtkflash with the values of my new nForce sata controller and all seems good

However, when booting mtkflash (I'm trying to reflash a hacked MS28 drive to change the key, have the 0800 disk in the drive to unlock it) it sees the sammy drive (even though it's spoofed as a benq), but hangs and always gets stuck on the "Status: 51 should be 70".

I've tried everything possible and it won't flash. I've changed the laser in the drive, burned a new 0800 disk, even tried the VCC trick again, nothing.

Is it something wrong with the nForce 7 chipset? I hex edited mtkflash and it recognizes the drive so that should be all good, i have no idea why it's not working it's driving me nuts

Anybody who has flashed a samsung with this chipset please shed some light here

use dosflash. mtkflash is outdated as hell by now.

Yeah well I'm old school, didn't realize dosflash would work with samsung drives, thought it was only for benq

after some more 0800 disk trickery I finally got it to work
