Hello I am kind of new at this ,but my issue is:

My Samsung TS-H943A broke by the "open tray" disc read error. So, I purchased a new dvd-rom drive same exact model , so my question is what do i do?
 Do I have to flash it and if i do how do i do that? What will i have to get to do to make the new dvd-rom drive to work
 Do I have to hack something?

Please help thanks!

try swapping out the drive board first. that way you wouldn't have to do anything except swap the boards.
