softmodded xbox freezes after xbox logo

hey my softmodded xbox freezes after the xbox logo and the microsoft symbol and goes to a black screen

any help?

P.S. im using unleash x as main dashboard and evox and xbmc also

power / eject light colour ... any writing on the black screen (and error code ??)

it does it when i press either power or eject and the color is green. just a black screen no error code.

it could be a couple of things, have you tried leaving it on for a bit (say 5 min...sometimes it takes a little while to display an error code), do you hear any ticking or light scratchy humming ? what were you doing before the problem ? (did you delete anything, move anything)

i have tried leaving it on up to 1/2 an hour and nothing. also right now the drive is set to "master" and not "cable select" because it comes up with error code 09 and i have looked into that and guess it is incorrect hard drive parameters. also on another note before it went "down" i was messing with some dashboard settings in unleash-x, which i know had the ndure tool set. i think it was too much at once. also i cant get an ftp to it so any help would be greatly appreciated. on another note i have tried using xboxhdm.

can you run any games ?? from what I am thinking you messed up something with the dashboard...if you can run games get yourself a copy of Slayers EvoX Auto Installer (2.7 is the latest but 2.6 will work fine too...don't ask where to get it) and run that and just install EvoX to C:\ and then you can FTP in and get your game saves or do whatever you like pretty much

well for all those folks who care i did get this one solved.
so... i used a FRESH burned copy of xboxhdm vers. 1.9
and did a hotswap from xbox to pc, got the timing just right to were it unlocked, rebuilt c drive,(so yes gigabyte the c drive was corrupted), shutdown pc hotswap pc to xbox shut off xbox, (so it would re-lock)
powered on the xbox and all my stuff was there. also while i was at it did exox backed-up eeprom and all that good stuff, so i could then transfer it to the pc and unlock and lock the drive from xboxhdm when i need to. so good news-> got it up and running again, but wait there's more. great news-> while i had the eeprom.bin (the right one by the way) i went further and did a clone of my orig. 8gig drive to a 40gig drive that i had lying around and now my xbox has a 40 gig maxtor drive. mind you with all my files intact.

so thanks to all that helped
 
P.S. all this was done WITHOUT a mod-chip, just soft-mod and a lot of tools, time, tutorials, and help.

just for the fun, it works all the time for you.. then try doing it 10 more times.. im just curious.. i fried my hdd the first time.. i gues its becouse the hardware isnt made for stuff like this..
