Hi long story short MS25 modchip gone bad Couldn't read firmware 1 red light  .e.t.c..  got a person to try and get a dump from his external programer  he got a bin file which he is called read1.bin . I changed the file name to orig.bin and use Ixtreme boot make and shows invalid e.t.c. how ever when I place in firmware toolbox it shows a dvd key . so I use that key to a Original MS25 firmware. Tested it but still comes up place game in console. can watch dvds so mean could be a invalid key ?

I hope yous can help and see if anything is wrong or missing in this file or maybe there a vaild key ?

yep, bad key. if you already flashed the drive, you don't have a valid key anymore and the console is now useless.
the key in FWToolbox does look to be a possibly valid one, though. are you sure the dump is the one of your drive and not accidently switched with another?

A14 was not properly connected when your friend made the dump.
Your key is not there. Cry

Thanks guys nah haven't flashed it as he got the chip by it self so Im just using a spare ms25 dvd drive. Very confident the drive has not be swapped , but what Tiros mentioned A14 no connected maybe there is hope for my friend to try again using the programmer to reveal a valid key ?

A fresh dump with all pins connected should do the trick then, yes.

have you tried reading it through mtkflash or dosflash with the modchip removed? I've had a dead drive that was able to be read through that method even though it kept return e65 error even with the right key.
