it had graphics issues from the beginning, and x-clamp and heatgun only fixed it for 2-3 months at a time. apparently the last heatgunning was too much for the board structure.

hey zouzzz, so from what I understand from the crappy Google translations is that the sizes of games ( on HDD) are game specific, some can be 2GB and some can be 7gb. The 360 also forces you to play it from HDD if its on the HDD(which is a good thing).
Now what I really would like to know is. What does that means for multi disk games (Blue dragon, Infinite undiscovery, Lost Odyssey) will they be downloaded in 1 file and do we get rid of the disk swapping.
Could you ask that to your French friends or test it yourself? Would appreciatie it.

You still need to launch each game disk seperately. The security sector is different for each disk afterall. and no, the console doesn't force you to play off HDD if it's installed, you can still launch the game off disk if you'd like to (for whatever reason).

to bad, would really like to know as it would really be a solution to the disk swap haters. And people who are going to buy/download final fantasy 13 that will probebly come on 4 or more disks.

yea I did but I really can believe that Microsoft will do it like that. Because in the future we will only see more multi disk games. And it would really annoy people if they need to play disk 1 from the hdd than if the game says put in disk 2, than you will hear the spinning of the disk, then make a safe file on "disk 2" than go back to the menu and play the game from HDD. If you only need 1 disk for a 2 or 3 disk game than it would me much more convenient. But I think that Microsoft will find a solution for this.

Unless they are majorly reworking the feature from the beta, they will not. and like I said, each disk has its individual security sector, it can't use the security sector of disk 1 for disk 2.

Jesus...the flipping dashboard isn't even out yet so nothing may really be how it will be in the final release, so just calm down, be patient...and wait for it to come out and as for seeing more multi disks in future....I highly doubt it (if they do to bad), think of how long the Xbox 360 has been out and how much longer it probably has left to go and the newer technologies now available that weren't before release of the 360. gigabite

Check out this video at exactly 3:27 secs she says "the consoles are banned we are opening them up" http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41744.htmlThat means when the new dashboard will come the consoles that are banned they will be unban.

I found this bit of information on another board: "I asked some details about the coming update and I got this information: There will be a 16 MB update that will be installed in the internal flash memory of each console. New games will run fine with this small update. The whole new dashboard with 128 MB size is only required for Xbox Live, otherwise it's optional. If you don't use Live you don't need it and you will still be able to play all new games" Does anyone know what does that 16 MB update to internal flash memory mean? Have other dashboard updates done this? Or could this be some new anti-piracy method by Microsoft? Regards, limonaati
